allforyou Posted October 2 Posted October 2 She should've added Die with a Smile on the album, it's not even that far off from the record's theme either. Hopefully it'll rise throughout the week.
spree Posted October 2 Posted October 2 If Cheek to Cheek is not considered an album, then it's #1 statistic doesn't count either. How many #1 ALBUMS does she have? Apparently only 5 now.
bringdanoize Posted October 2 Posted October 2 52 minutes ago, Mirrorcle said: Also according to Billboard 143 is Katy's 6th album so they are not counting Katy Hudson. https://www.billboard.com/video/katy-perry-new-album-143-billboard-news/ it's because Smile is atrocity, not an album. 1

Do songs with samples not count then? None of this is opinion-based, it's objective fact this is a Lady Gaga product containing 13 songs sung by her. It's an album. Period. Exactly, the Monsters consider ASIB as a Gaga album just because it smashed even though 5 songs don't include her, and a huge chunk of them have both Bradley and her. Plus, that album was a straight up soundtrack. This is a companion album, ala Batman, I'm Breathless, Purple Rain, etc. and consists of all SOLO Lady Gaga songs. All of these songs were produced specifically for this album. How is this not considered an album all of a sudden 2

But I guess it's arts not charts Maybe Bruno will use it for his album
Flanders Posted October 2 Posted October 2 There's no point arguing over whether this is an LG album or not dont let these losers rile you up. so she won't make top 10 with a jazz album, so what? Move on she will put out a pop album in the coming months
Funnyfatty Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Harlequin is a GOOD studio album released by the icon Lady Gaga that got NO support from her own american fanbase. thats it.
EriKills Posted October 2 Posted October 2 2 hours ago, shimind said: Well yes. The Gift was a side project. Her studio album was Lemonade and after that it was renaissance. Drag gaga all you want but dont force everyone to think Harlequin is a studio album. only an illiterate dumb ass will think it is one when its just a jazz cover album of 1000 year old songs. While I also think this is more of a side album and not an official part of her discography, Gaga herself has labeled this album as LG 6.5 Quote As for why she teased the album as "LG 6.5," the singer explained that she didn't want fans to see this only as her next album. "It is my record. It's a Lady Gaga record, but it's also inspired by my character and my vision of what a woman can be," she said. "It's why the album does not adhere to one genre … it's not my next studio album that's a pop record, but it is somewhere in between, and it's blurring the lines of pop music." https://www.billboard.com/music/pop/lady-gaga-harlequin-joker-character-inspired-1235786951/ It's not "just" a jazz cover album, and per her labeling it's as close to being officially part of her discography without actually being part of it….
DownBoy Posted October 2 Posted October 2 When will Chappell finally get her No.1 album? If she had put Good Luck Babe on the deluxe, she would've already gotten that top spot.
Enrique523 Posted October 2 Posted October 2 I think we now have definitive confirmation that DWAS's success is not because of Gaga 1 4 1

mons†er Posted October 2 Posted October 2 SOS outsold Lady Gaga Not there being two underperforming Pop Queens. At least Katy was able to go top 10. 1 1
Radical Pessimism Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Gaga's numbers are bad but this album isn't an important project, and I'm sure the actual studio album that will include original material will sell very well. 1
