Austin Posted October 2 Posted October 2 It's been 11 years since Lady Gaga has been an artist that vies for chart domination. It seems like that kind of career almost killed her, and now she's much happier doing Great American Songbook covers, performing, and making an album every 5 years. I think its time you guys stop caring too

A Jazz album having the same amount of SEA + TEA as a pop album with 3 collabs tells me everything I need to know. Ughh lemme save this before it gets deleted. Maybe I'll have to update my signature soon.

B-Luke Posted October 2 Posted October 2 A solo jazz album at that, how is it supposed to chart high if it had Tony Bennett on it maybe it would've gone Top 10 but this release down to its visual is a bit obscure. We're seated for DWAS and LG7 instead.

Atlantis Posted October 2 Posted October 2 (edited) I feel out of touch because I thought that was it's 2nd week before opening this thread. A new Lady Gaga album debuting that low is crazy Edited October 2 by Atlantis
Azor Ahai Posted October 2 Posted October 2 It's amazing that her previous COVER albums are able to outsell and outpeak many albums with new songs
Darkroth Posted October 2 Posted October 2 So Katy Cats are reverting to low blow cheap shots to an artist that released a side project jazz album, as a coping mechanism and to compensate and deflect the floppage of their fave's flop era and main album. The desperation reminds me of the Barbz every time their fave was rightly accused for horrendous ****. You know that's temporary and an actual main era single is coming this month, right? Or are you being intentionally obtouse as to get a cheap win? 1 1
Kiss It Better Posted October 2 Posted October 2 wait TFM peaked at #5? all these years i thought it blocked Rated R

Kiss It Better Posted October 2 Posted October 2 1 hour ago, DevilsRollTheDice said: How does Billboard count records like this? Don't they consider Beyoncé's to be in-tact? If they don't count TG and EIL there I probably wouldn't count this for Gaga. Beyonce has a streak for #1 solo studio albums with 8 #1 albums, The Gift is a soundtrack and EIL is a collaborative album which both peaked at #2 Beyonce's solo studio albums: Dangerously In Love #1 B'Day #1 IASF #1 4 #1 BEYONCE #1 Lemonade #1 Renaissance #1 Cowboy Carter #1 Other albums: Beyonce: More Only (considered as EP) #8 Everything Is Love (under the name The Carters) #2 Homecoming (Live album) #4 The Gift (soundtrack) #2
Keeandga Posted October 2 Posted October 2 So people would pay 100s to watch her sing Jazz in vegas but won't listen on Spotify or buy the album? Which are much cheaper and take less effort. I'm confused. 4

If it was album + EP or just EP it would've likely challenged for #1 1 1

Migs Posted October 2 Posted October 2 I would be more worried with my fave's second week sales if I were you. OT: Gaga served a concept album with vocals, quality and artistic growth with a reasonable Metacritic score. No singles nor hype before it. I think that's worth a lot more than charting for one week in the top 10.
