Thats absolutely fine, but she could have done this ages ago via a live set. As a popstar....making people wait that long to see you perform for something such as this was insane. She already did that AOMD sad version thing. Just now, abra said: You're really biased against her because of Perrie and Leigh aren't you… No, I can't stand that new Perrie single; it's an album track, just as this should've been. Yes, I think Leigh has released the best material (and performances), but I've already said my piece about her. 1 minute ago, revivval said: her live vocal wasn't enough? she was in her vein and for a debut live performance as a solo artist she outdid herself and she just prove even more that she can singing live No, she isn't a vocalist in the sense that I just want to see her sing. We know she can sing live from LM. Very disappointing performance IMO, just downright boring. 4 6

Trying to take away from the fact she's literally been hailed by almost every publication one of the most exciting new acts in the UK. But yes, how dare she for a 10pm BBC2 TV show - known for bringing in critically acclaimed singers more so than popular ones to showcase their voice, talent and songwriting skills. As i wrote that last bit, i now realise that this will be exactly why you don't know anything about this TV programme. On topic - Loved both. 6

OrgVisual Posted October 19 Posted October 19 This single is not really made for live performance. It's way too subtle to make an impact on live TV. It's the kind of song that you need to listen carefully on headphones and take in all the details and musical elements. On the other hand, AOMD is fantastic, the explosive chorus and dramatic vibe are made for performance 1
Asparagus Spears Posted October 19 Posted October 19 There is too much filter on her voice during the verses. You can't make out what she's saying clearly. It took me a while to work out what she was saying word for word. Once I saw her live performance of this that's when she sold it to me. It's much better when you can clearly hear her. It's less grating to my ears.

tyt Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Insane live vocal performances. I love her stage presence. and the cunty struts to the AOMD verse?! hello??? I kinda wish she pulled Mariah and said "Stop singing my part now, baby" to the back up singers It rhyme well with Fantasy too
West Coast Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Passion, pain Pleasure, no shame If you like it weird, I like it strange It's a fantasy, babe 1 1

I really think you're underestimating what a respectable platform Jools Holland is, it was good enough for the likes of Adele, Florence &. Lana to name just a few, it's been going for 32 years and all of the performances are like this. For an ex LM member to be invited is a big deal. If she'd of tried a pop star moment it wouldn't have been received well. This will expose her to a much wider audience the majority of whom probably aren't little mix fans and this was the perfect decision to appeal to that wider multigenerational audience. 5
Truth Teller Posted October 20 Posted October 20 She did amazing Jools is prestigious and is traditionally a platform for more alternative acts. Ms Jade is positioning herself and is embraced as an ARTIST. 92 on Metacritic incoming, I fear
tbhmatt Posted October 20 Posted October 20 I still find it very bizarre that this wasn't auto added to Hot Hits UK on Spotify when AOMD was and ultimately did quite well on the platform.

AOMD probably had amazing pre-saves due to the weeks of teasing and being her first single. And even then, I think it started pretty low on the playlist, no?
thankfulforkelly Posted October 20 Posted October 20 I like the song and video. Her debut album is gonna be amazing. I hope this is stable or rises on Spotify, I really thought this would debut a lot higher than 375,657 streams (more 500-750 range)

Hopefully this will get added next week. 2
tbhmatt Posted October 20 Posted October 20 The fact that "White Noise For Babies" is charting higher than this on Apple Music… 1
kellebrity98 Posted October 20 Posted October 20 so. i'm a huge LM fan, Jade is my bias and I have to be honest that I don't really connect with this song, it's giving Holiday from Confetti - a basic pop song that Ava Max or Dua Lipa could sing. After AOMD she set the bar high and the Showbiz snippet also screamed campy lyrics, slutty music which I actually wanted from her. She's a gifted writer, she wrote the most LM songs and after Chappell people tuned in for her cause she did serve a brit Chappell Roan with the debut. MC is great, but Fantasy… like why? Everyone wanted Showbiz, not this and the numbers prove it. Don't get me wrong, it's okay if I heart it in Douglas, Rossmann or Tesco but that's it. This will def effect her budget for J1. Let's move on, call it a buzz and drop THEE IT GIRL. 1
musicman Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Some people really do just care for numbers and choreo don't they Barely any of the comments here about the actual song. Just fighting over performances and streaming numbers. It's so sad to see cause this song just deserves appreciation and discussion on how good the song is 6

By all accounts Fantasy is one of the more "accessible" songs on the album so if you're looking for gayer, campier tracks there's more to come 2
tbhmatt Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Excited for the live lounge performance. I saw a few people saying that the song didn't translate live for them after hearing it on Jools Holland but I couldn't disagree more, I thought the live arrangement was brilliant

It did have great longevity and hovered for weeks around the top 20 (still hovering, as a matter of fact), but it can't hurt to release something a little more radio friendly to engage that audience too. Midnight Cowboy as a promo track right before Fantasy was probably meant to appease the fans that wanted something edgier while Fantasy attempts to tap into the more mainstream crowd. And they're all 10/10 songs, like... 1
