pinkbowvintage Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Because I Like It is a BOP!!!! so is Ain't Running Away 1
Solarie Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Because I Like It and obviously Instant Deja Vu are bops and half, but I can see why they (or whole these sessions) were ultimately scrapped. They just aren't what In the Zone became in the end. They are very poppy, almost outdated, even for 2003/04. They simply don't represent the maturity that was needed (and achieved) by Britney during that era. Those were probably early sessions right after 'Britney' was released. 7
Terylee Posted September 21 Posted September 21 There also leaked an Instant Deja Vu version with a little rap. Some might know it. She performed it for Ashton Kutcher in Punk'd. 2

ChooseyLover Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Crazy Girls is so Original Doll coded it hurts. I really believe she was recording two albums at the same time. 5
ATRL Administrator Popular Post Ryan Posted September 21 ATRL Administrator Popular Post Posted September 21 “Because I Like It” would fit right in 05-07 pop rock. It’s so good. At this point her unreleased catalog is bigger than what’s been put out. Nasty work, Britney. She in her house spinning in dresses on Instagram when she could be releasing unreleased material to tide us over while she’s on retirement strike lol 12 3

AdrianNicki Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Really glad they changed direction because this is not it. Crazy Girls is the only one having potential but the rest sound like something that would fit her first album more. 1

It's so not like In The Zone at all. We have the urban pop tracks (Early Mornin', Touch of My Hand, Outrageous, I've Got That Boom Boom, Sippin' On, etc.) and the dance-pop carefree tracks (Brave New Girl, I Ain't Running Away, Instant Deja Vu) all intended for In The Zone... And then all these other songs that feel so out of place and sound the same. It's wild. Edited September 21 by ChooseyLover

Terylee Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Here's a list of all the unreleased songs that got mentioned somewhere or got leaked + when and where they got leaked, which era they are from and who produced them. Interesting read. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EhK4h2VWHpxfoH3M1mDZ02GraxIAIkN-MnP_YADEqXc/edit?pli=1&gid=0#gid=0 1 5
for lovers Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Because I Like It borders on an interpolation of You Get What You Give at times. But yeah very wise decision to change direction from this to the finished ITZ album

She said she loved working with Penelope Whatever TOD was initially in concept during the time of the Onyx Hotel until her injury. Cause after that TOD seemingly became a different project.

Green Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Because I Like It It would have been perfect to release it around 2004-2005

She said she loved working with Penelope I think the Penelope Magnet stuff is very R&B oriented so I'd say no but Michelle Bell for sure, I think she was a main collaborator. If my memory isn't betraying me she even confirmed all these songs she was doing with her were for a project that wasn't In The Zone.
