imabadkid Posted September 27 Posted September 27 IMHO the constant hyper fixating on KP and her sales and her views and her likes, etc is another example of ATRL being stuck in the 2010s. I just don't get the obsession around it… in the year 2024. These numbers aren't surprising, she's a popstar, like many before her, who had her moment and her moment has sort of passed. We're the era of TikTok, pop music these days is really hard to break through. no shade to anyone just saying, it's 2024 why are there 10+ threads about KP a day? 7 2 1

Yes, AND Posted September 27 Posted September 27 11 hours ago, abrahamjmr said: Why don't we compare streaming numbers? Last time I checked Dua's singles were not successful in the US yet they still pulled numbers in platforms like Spotify. Has 143 even crossed the 50M mark on the platform? And they released the same amount of singles, but by the time Radical Optimism came out, it was well over 500M streams. Can the same be said for Katy's latest attempt of a release? You want to talk declines, but Dua Lipa is still doing numbers while Katy Perry is flopping hard. Thanks TTH. Comparing a third album to a sixth haha.

abrahamjmr Posted September 27 Posted September 27 1 hour ago, Yes, AND said: Thanks TTH. Comparing a third album to a sixth haha. You can't force people to stream anything. TTH helps with exposure, people decide what they play - if they don't like it, they can simply press the next button. 143 and Radical Optimism were released on the same climate, but I see how it might be convenient for you to compare it to PRISM since KatyCats can only live by anything released over a decade ago. 1

I agree, the obsession with hating on Katy in every way possible is so toxic. I get it she worked with Luke and everyone agrees that is a bad decision, but they could just as easily ignore her music and katy all together if you don't like it. The need to break their heels to comment in every Katy thread screams mob mentality 1

Ger Posted September 27 Posted September 27 11k difference, ugh Chappell was lowkey close. Good numbers for Katy standards. Sabrina serving crazy longevity.
