State of Grace. Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Ugh, this was Chappell's chance to snatch the #1 album for its anniversary. Why did Future have to release out of nowhere I guess she'll have to settle for a #2 peak like The Fame unless the album somehow goes #1 after SNL/Grammys, idk 1

Chappell is shaping up to be a monster sales-wise and i could see her next album do very big numbers on sales alone. Yeah even if she misses it this week, her next album is going to smash. She'll get her #1 one way or the other.
Yes, AND Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Brilliant numbers for Katy ! all her haters we secretely hoping for JLO numbers and to miss the top 10. 7 1

What's "brilliant" about a 40k debut after 3 videos and a VMA performance? Clairo sold 10k more and she didn't even release a video for the lead single and has never had a hit song. 13 4 2 3
Great808 Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Katy Perry is the biggest flop MPG of all time, PERIOD she will be competing with Kim Petras and Iggy Azalea after her very minuscule fanbase does their part after the first debut week. 7 4 4

ALA Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Dang at Chappell hitting 100k curious who will get #1 for the weeks in October! Hopefully Gaga can muster cute #s
Tistotal Posted September 25 Posted September 25 40k isn't that bad for bomb singles so so I expect this to chart for 3 weeks, not more than that 1

Hopefully Gaga can muster cute #s If no one big releases, Sabrina has a clear path for very much the entire month. Gaga would easily clock a couple weeks if DWAS was on Harlequin but it isn't. Charli is one to watch cause of the crazy amount of new vinyl variants and remix album at the same time in late October, Shawn is a wildcard but I think he will struggle like Katy. The only variant that she could do to touch #1 again is CD/vinyl for The Anthology (or a new reissue with a couple single mixes ala Karma), that MIGHT happen once she returns to the US, and be sold on tour merch booths like the Midnights Till Dawn CD. The live digital downloads and acoustic CDs pretty much stopped now cause they wouldn't work for that, and the last restock pretty much cleared their remaining stock of the deluxe CDs. naval23 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Only a 20% drop from Smile I honestly thought it would be soo much worse
FailSafe Posted September 25 Posted September 25 (edited) Gaga will The Fame'd Chappel next week and the week after that Edited September 25 by FailSafe
Witnessed ET Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Well another top 10 album in the basket for Katy despite an intense hate train from all corners of the industry and the internet, no hit single this era, absolutely horrible playlisting and almost every other fanbase calling her a flop for almost a decade glad to know her fanbase is pretty much the same in the US as the smile era looking at the pure sales. Too bad Crapitol doesn't invest anything in playlisting and streaming.

Blackout2006 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 You're telling me the only MPG she is projected to outsell this week is Sza with her two-year-old album?
Archetype Posted September 25 Posted September 25 40K is HORRIBLE for her, legit no-hit artists clearing her on her release week 1
allforyou Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Honestly Katy is doing better than I thought, I was expecting 35K and for her to debut outside of the top 10.
