Is there a possibility that she's dropped by her label at this point? Like she's served consecutive flop eras and her back catalog is already sold off, what else do they have to gain from her at this point? Might be beneficial for Katy too if she can land on her feet at another label who would scrap any album like 143.

Just say you don't know how the music business works. Labels don't care about radio singles or making pennies from album streams when they have a legacy artist who can still tour arenas and sell-out Vegas residencies.

So what do labels care about then? Mind you they are in the business to make money off of these artists and they're not seeing the returns on their investment here. Her catalog is already sold off to the co-founder of Capitol, so they're gonna make money off her either way. Let's also see if this successful arena tour you're hinting to materializes.

The bottom line is, she's had 3 increasingly unsuccessful eras in a row. Capitol clearly was banking on this era being her big comeback and put their money into it. They bought her the vanguard, promoted WW a ton (before people put their money where their mouth was and didn't support the song bc of dr. luke) and she's done more promo herself than most pop girls have done for their albums in YEARS. Why would they choose to keep investing in her when they could potentially save money to invest in more relevant artists and still collect a check from her back catalog she sold to them.

Are you posting in the wrong thread? This description does not fit Katy.

The lyrical content on this record is atrocious. Who helped her write this? ChatGPT or her daughter? Makes Jojo Siwa's stuff sound like a masterpiece!

Oh Katheryn.. Look what you have done! :(

From such a good record like Smile to bubbling under 143-out.. Why? WHY?

I was genuinely rooting for you, Mrs. Hudson.
