Who said anything about peaceful? I said the PLO and PFLP were secular, which they were. They did not fight to establish a Muslim theocracy. George Habbash was literally a Christian. 

 

Yes, the secular Palestinian resistance did commit atrocities in the 60s and 70s. Those were no different from what Israel has been inflicting on Palestinians for decades. The idea that Palestinians, who don't have an army, should roll over and die instead of using violence like their oppressors do is laughable. Zionists use violence every. single. day.

 

Decolonization is a violent process not because colonized people have a hard-on for violence, but because the colonizers leave them no other choice. It's how French rule was kicked out of Algeria, how the Portuguese rule was kicked out of Angola, etc.

 

When Palestinians tried a peaceful approach in the beginning of the First Intifada or in 2018, the IDF proceeded to shoot them. So spare us the tears over ViOlEnCe!!!11!

not watched all of it because it changes absolutely nothing. you could find religious conservatives in every country, in fact Israel, Europe, and North America are currently filled with them. should the US be bombed and colonised? or Europe?

 

not to mention that this framing ignores queer Palestinians who are being murdered by Israel/The West as well. what about their rights? the implication here is that Palestinians deserve to be genocided because they're homophobic, which is insane. bombs and colonialism will not advance queer rights.

edit: and another thing, it's especially cynical for cis-hetero people to be advancing this argument. i find it offensive that someone uses my humanity and existence to justify genocide. Israeli war crimes are NOT committed in my name, and every queer person should take the same stance on this.
