DemnisBreezy Posted October 4 Posted October 4 So I had very stressful day at the office today and when it was finally time to leave, I went to my car, put this song on and I was honestly vibing so much because I felt like yaaaaas weekend, two days without work. I mean it is still too long, chorus is uninspired but it is still a catchy car song which I don't mind. Still I hope she will come out with something more original next year tbh 4
SinnerCity Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Do I love the song? No, it's catchy and clearly made for radio airplay, the video is nice but yeah, this is not doing anything for me. It's actually surprising that out of the three, Perrie is the one releasing such basic songs. 1
Truth Teller Posted October 4 Posted October 4 It's very clear that Forget About Us was the strongest track they had and when that one didn't really stick despite the lead single hype, the massive airplay, the Ed Sheeran co-write and the multi-week teasing, they should have instantly gone back to the drawing board with a different approach. Instead, we keep getting lesser tracks from the same sessions, which is pointless and eating away her momentum. I feel like the sound she's going for is Kelly Clarkson safe power pop, and she's doing a decent job at that (I loved FAU and this is solid enough to be an album track) but that's just not a sellable sound in 2024. Like @mike_int said, she needs a Bleedin' Love. And I'm not sure how she's spent nearly 3 years putting this solo debut together and hasn't figured that out 2

ANG3L Posted October 4 Posted October 4 The MV is really cute, kinda made into the song a bit but it's so bland overall

Dysmorphia Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Oh I actually like this… a lot, her best single imo. But I wish she would do an up tempo power ballad type song. Her voice is being wasted 1
ImpressMeMuch Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I mean, I like it but I just have no idea what she's trying to do with this era Jade and Leighanne, I see their visions Perrie feels so identityless
SpaceOddity Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Best single out of the three. Still a little basic, but it's definitely the most interesting offer so far. 1

The Slayer Posted October 4 Posted October 4 In her interview with The Independent she made it clear she got the song from Joy Anonymous and asked to have it. She also just thanked them on her IG story for bringing her the song and she helped evolve it. Hopefully people back off her a bit now. 1

KasioKas Posted October 4 Posted October 4 The production got me hooked. It's a nice track. And finally some vocals!! 2
WERKER Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I've been at work all day and only just seen the video... OMG!!! How has no one lost their mind?? That was shot in 1 take, EFFORTLESS choreo yet hardly anyones hyping it?! Amazing 2 1
The Slayer Posted October 4 Posted October 4 She performed the song at her event, it looks so fun live! The song goes off even more. She looked like she was having fun. Perrie HQ did a live stream. It wasn't a professional recording like FAU though. Part of the performance: 3
The Slayer Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Just watched The Graham Norton performance. It was fine and felt kinda weird seeing her on her own compared to her other solo performances. the performance was kinda blah until she started belting! I loved when she showcased her vocals though but I don't like when artists just stand there. I kinda expected more. Slayed the vocals though. I much preferred her performance at her event tonight as she was walking about and probably because she was more comfortable and looked like she was having fun!
