I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE VIDEO!!!

The choreo, I was not expecting that much. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I liked that we were walking along with her throughout.

It makes sense her saying she had to do this in one take to get it right!

Elevated the song even more for me, i'm sold.

I think this was definitely one of my favourite LM solo videos for sure! Light years better than FAU & Tears!

The video was interesting to me until they went outside and then I got bored

Ok the video is nice , its her best efford but the song is absolutely terrible

Also I've seen a lot of dragging online cause its a cover and apparently she is trying to pass it as a new song she co wrote , is it true ?

Chorus is catchy but the structure of the song is weird and despite me being hater of short songs, this one is dragging too long without any progression.

Video is cute, nothing extra.

Unfortunately another miss. She is an amazing vocalist and we don't have any female vocalist releasing power ballads now.

I dont understand why are they trying to market her as this mediocre pop girl when she could fill the hole in the market and serve something like Leona Lewis "Bleeding Love" etc.

Oh wait! After the third time listening to it, it's hitting me hard.

Okay?! Okay! spacer.png

The video is also a serve! Her best single and video so far. Hope this becomes a hit for her.

According to PJ this is the only difference:

Right then, I know I'll be smiling
When I see you in five years' time

into

Right then I know we'll be laughin', ha
When we look back in five years time

Ok (ok, ok) I throughly enjoyed the video. Extremely simple but very effective and she showed us so much more personality here than she did in the other two. It's also great to see her look and feel so comfortable dancing on her own, she was never that keen on dancing in Little Mix.

I am pleased enough with this as an overall package. I do hope we get something a bit more authentic and interesting with her next release, but I'll take this for now and be grateful for it.

The song sucks big time. No hook and the chorus is very weak same with the melody.Time to call kirkpatrick, max martin, ali payami to salvage whats left of her career. All her singles were mid to awful.  Her voice is extraordinary, the vocals on this track are grammy worthy. She is gorgeous and the best singer of Little Mix with Whitney,Mariah,Celine Dion vcals but the label put her up with weak producers. A solo career needs more effort she should have taken more time to craft her sound, image and style.

Wasn't a fan on first listen. It clicked after the video and I've had it on repeat for the last hour I can't get enough now.

Last time I'll say this, as I don't want to drag this thread down with too much negativity because overall I do think this is fairly decent and not worth some of the hate it's gotten. I do think the biggest problem for me with the "authenticity" of her songs so far is that she's clearly shopping around for demos and cherry picking ones she likes and then trying to apply and relate her own personal interpretations and it just feels very.. impersonal

I understand that she's clearly not a big songwriter (that's fine) but… she could at least perhaps consider creating the concept, theme and overall musical direction of a song herself and then task a team of songwriters to write a song that fits her own vision. I think it would make a big difference if we felt like the DNA of the songs were coming from her, not being brought to her.

I obviously don't know how songwriting works but I'm sure it's possible to set up a writing camp, give a team of songwriters a brief of the concepts, vibes, influences you want and then see what happens. A good song, in my opinion, needs to feel like every choice (every ad lib, every sound effect, every instrumental, every lyric, every harmony etc) has a purpose within the song in a way that further enhances the story you're trying to tell. I think that's what has been missing for me, personally. The music has been a bit… uninspired so far.

She just needs a better team of writers/producers that can tap in to her mind and cater to what she wants to say with her music. I will get a few more plays out of this I'm sure, in the hopes that she will continue to improve with future releases.

So we went from a Selena Gomez reject as the 2nd single to a cover as the 3rd single... what the **** is going on with Perrie's career? :gaycat6:

Here's the original btw if anyone wants to listen: JOY (Get Over Me) - JOY (Anonymous) | JOY (Get Over Me) - JOY (Anonymous) | By Hitsss Zone | Facebook

Can someone explain to me why is Perrie pulling a JoJo Siwa (and with the original being better too)?!

Not sure why the hate, I like this a lot sounds like what Kevin Parker tries to do when producing for MPGs but in an actually successful way and the video is good too!

It has been released before yeah

It's very repetitive, verses are a bit bland. meh.

Video is ok, would have been better with more looks. An uncut video only really works if the song is interesting.

I really like this. Its breathy and free and beautiful :falcon:

:deadvision: a mess

the way she was preaching about having long songs when the song is literally a cover of a song someone else made, not really much 'art' in that

exactly. it's all just too faceless and generic and the dated radio pop sound she's been going for definitely isn't helping

this is def the best of the 3 songs but there's still a spark missing. Jade is the one doing it right by bringing so much personality into the music - Perrie doesn't need to write if she doesn't want to but at least give us SOMETHING to stand out
