What else are you expecting The only song that got decent promotion was Forget About Us. Tears was forgotten a week after it's release. You Go Your Way had a performance in Graham Norton Show but still it's not enough. They should also invest in Spotify playlists and send the song to international radio stations. 1
Danai G Posted October 12 Posted October 12 We need to keep in mind that we are in the streaming era now. It's good that the sales are decent but streams play a vital role nowadays. If the label invests more into Spotify playlisting and radio support, there might be an improvement. However, the main issue are the songs. None of them has the "it" factor. They are pleasant and fun but this is not enough to make your name known. It's clear that at first Perrie's team relied on her popularity because of Little Mix and they thought that it would be enough. Perrie needs to re-introduce herself, especially to those who haven't listened to LM before, in order to create her own separate fanbase. I still have faith but so far, the songs are not hitting. A DJ/EDM collab would be a good option in my opinion. Get her to do a collaboration with Calvin Harris, David Guetta, anyone. At least it would secure a radio hit and would guarantee better numbers.

Yeah , promo is the problem 🤣🤣🤣 Angel of My Dreams had NO performance at all and it wasn't even pushed on radio Gurl even it was #1 on Today's Top Hits people would skip them 4
The Slayer Posted October 12 Posted October 12 (edited) The sales are not decent, they are baaad She has nearly 20 million people following her on Instagram and only around 1,000 physicals were purchased...and some of those purchases were people like myself who bought multiples. The songs just aren't clicking with a lot of people. I personally love this song but I get the dislike. The songs have been pretty faceless and could have been sang by literally anyone. I wish Perrie had better songs and ways to showcase her talent. Edited October 12 by The Slayer 1

Yeah i mostly agree with you but even if the songs are good or ppl like them doesn't mean they are gonna buy Physicals Usually the super fans buy and this means that the mixers grew up and they dont care anymore to support the girls by buying cds and cassettes They need to build new fanbase and so far only Jade seems like going to this direction
shark_heather Posted October 12 Posted October 12 This is really a unique situation. LM have been together for so long , they milked their audience and fans its not like with most of girlbands that theyve been together a couple og years , release 2 3 albums and then going solo on their mid20s while their fans are still teenagers So , yes Perrie's songs so far suck , but even if they weren't, its super hard for them to smash

CDs: Tears 529 You Go Your Way 587 Vinyl: Tears 437 You Go Your Way 442 Cassettes: Tears 127 You Go Your Way 114 Wow, the sales were really poor which is shocking. oh wow that is shockingly low, damn Honestly I think most of these girls - usually what happens with boybands/girlbands - should just stay in their groups. Most of them are not meant to be solo artists and that's ok! Not everyone has to be... Like, look at Keisha from Sugababes. She has been adamant that she is primarily a girlband member, with little to no interest in going solo. Based on the successa nd quality of her bandmates solo adventures, she has obviously been very smart about it. Like, *some of them* are obviously successful at going solo. Cheryl, Mel C, Geri and even Emma were successful but in terms of quality and longevity?...... Most of them were just tragic. Girls Aloud or Spice Girls solo works? Mediocre at best, most of them. Perrie is a very tallented lady, with an incredible voice. But maybe she just isnt meant to be a solo pop star, and that's ok There's no shame in simply saying 'no thanks, I'll just do the group stuff when it comes back'....

The songs are not good enough to make the fans or the gp very excited. And this is a problem. Perrie needs to create her own fanbase but how will she be able to do that with lukewarm songs and almost non-existant artistic direction?

I trully believe that Perrie never really wanted a solo career . It feels like she does it because she "has" to , if it makes sense 2

Im honestly shocked that people aren't buying her physicals, where have all her fans gone nn I bought three sets of this in the end and all the digital copies multiple times on different itunes accounts it seems like no one else cares, her discord is dead

She clearly enjoys performing her solo songs but it seems like she's not dedicating her time to push her career. Which is totally fine, she has a family, she has anxiety so it's totally logical to take it easy. I just hope that her label will at least give her better songs and have realistic expectations...

Gelato Posted October 14 Posted October 14 ouch, I just saw the #52 debut. but her time for going solo was 5-8 years ago lbr and the music just hasn't been good enough to deserve a lot of success

GloryDays Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Hope the label let her release the album after the singles performances. She's good at selling physicals.

superglowy Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Drop 'Rollercoaster' in January and drop the album that same month, low sales period so hopefully she can get the #1, then just drop collabs for the rest of the year and have her work on a 2nd album with stronger material (*psst just steal Jades producers Per.)
