Lady Claire Posted September 5 Posted September 5 The lengths omg Also dont worry about the tracklist order so far. It looks random af but i'm sure she'll make it make sense once we hear the entire thing (through transitions, interludes etc) 1

Miss girl has a lot to say
BlahBlahBlah Posted September 6 Posted September 6 Playing Lucky with the new cover on Apple Music is kind of unsettling lol 1
mxoonlight Posted September 6 Posted September 6 I really have to queen out a bit over this because having heard Ego and Lonely is the Muse like... she's about to eat again GSLKJGSKL I think the concept is so brilliant (if I'm interpreting it right?). I really was so confused at first and I'm like "are you fishing for a hit" doing the pastiche thing but like the way they've layered being so vulnerable in these really liminal spaces is actually so clever. Like the idea that you're so far removed from people wanting to hear a confessional album from you and people have made up their minds about you/you feel disconnected from the zeitgeist to the point to where you literally have to put on a costume to say the thing you want to say and for people to receive it is... hilarious for an artist to undertake? I'm sure there's ways that applies to other ways people decide to do what song, but to have it front facing in the art's concept and marketing is so clever!!!! The music is not only good, but effective and cohesive with the themes that it's like... I have to give tens! I don't know if Lucky is going to grow on me with how on the nose it is as a concept but everything else really has been amazing and I think she's going to deliver (not surprising because love/power also ate). To think she's really getting into her bag as an artist after she's had the huge semi-faceless hits is a fascinating journey to be on. I hope critical or commercial success doesn't deter her because they're trying something that a lot of people just would not have the balls to publicly present and that's what's cool about it. 4
AshleyLovescats887 Posted September 6 Posted September 6 Btw the 40 year anniversary magazine reveals one of the titles for a song on 'The Great Impersonator' it's called 'Dog Years' and considering that the magazine is about the 80s, the song is probably going to be categorized as an 80s one. I think it's the one from the trailer because of the lyrics "Evergreen as seventeen for the last eleven years"

HalSmoker Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Really like EGO, can't wait for the album. I hope that the other song from 00's are better than Lucky :s
