OnlyManInTheWorld Posted August 24 Posted August 24 I think we all knew it wasn't Britney singing on the album.
Saint James Posted August 24 Posted August 24 people claim Myah's name is listed on the stem files but i have yet to see proof of that.

Sugar-Rush Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Almost everyone knew it wasn't her vocals, but few of the Britney stans openly talked about it from what I recall. Actually they rarely talk about the album in general aside from WB.

nostalgic Posted August 24 Posted August 24 It was the day of my hip replacement surgery so yes, I remember it very well. Nearly ruined the other hip when I fell down the stairs after hearing Chillin' with You for the first time. 3

One thing they were all right about: TIll It's Gone is the best song, and should have been a single. 1

Communion Posted August 24 Posted August 24 (edited) 1 hour ago, dumbsparce said: When Britney Jean came out I must admit I was past the age of 9, so I think I'm more than qualified to answer this loaded question. In short: yes. We knew sth was effed the eff up but couldn't exactly point directly at it. I can't remember how the truth unfolded but we were moreso appalled at the fact that they thought we wouldn't notice. I think that one remixer (County Club Martini Crew?) started releasing unofficial remixes from the recording sessions he had, eventually including things like Sia's vocals in the remixes of Perfume and Passenger, and it eventually came out that no vocals existed for entire parts of Passenger by Britney when he did the remix and had to use Sia's vocals. But basically people knew something was off with that one bum note that sounded nothing like Britney on Passenger. He may have also been who confirmed songs like Body Ache and/or Till It's Gone basically having no Britney vocals in the recording session files, that it was mainly Myah. I think also people started theorizing something odd happened when William Orbit said the glitch in Alien wasn't his doing and didn't match the files he had sent to her team. Last I remember, most people accepted the theory that the situation with the conservatorship probably resulted in her team promising an album that never got done, which had very few songs submitted once producers were told it wasn't going to be promoted, and Anthony Preston basically being instructed to take all the files come deadline and fill in the gaps of what was never completed with Myah Marie acting as a vocal impersonator. Preston isn't credited for "vocal production" work on the sole 2 tracks where there's Myah vocals (Perfume, Don't Cry). Edited August 24 by Communion 1

hahayo Posted August 24 Posted August 24 still sounds like mostly britney's vocals to me, just badly produced. i don't think it's fair to say she literally didn't sing a single word on the songs, that's not true
