Taylor has been doing a lot of chart manipulation to cover up TTPD's underperformance

The hell??? :rip: Underperformance? You're not contextualization anything, you're just trying to manipulate into something you know is false lol. She's the fastest selling album, "but look at the singles!"; on this day TTPD outstreamed, "but she has a tour boost!", stop making excuses. I don't know about the others but Taylor is not falling of, at least yet.

OT: so happy for Sabrina, deserved :clap3:

TTPD being a 31 track album is a massive chart manipulation tactic she used which is why simply saying it outstreamed Midnights on Day X is not indicative of anything. The fact that it is only a 3M gap despite the former having 11 more tracks and benefiting from a tour boost says it all. The trend is indicating relatively soon TTPD will fall behind Midnights day by day comparison without needing to adjust for any caveats. THAT is an underperformance. Ofc, it is an underperformance for Taylor, for any other pop girl this album will be touted as a smash, but the decline from Midnights will be pretty sharp in the long run.

I could also mention the objective fact that HMHAS and SNS will end up outstreaming TTPD on Spotify. HMHAS has already been outdoing it day by day for a while now despite having a third of the tracks:

100th day on Spotify:

HIT ME HARD AND SOFT - 19,777,643 (10 songs)

THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT - 17,162,087 (31 songs)

Wow, Sabrina's numbers are insane!  I thought 150-200K would be amazing for her, and now it's looking like she might cross 300K! :duca:

This metric means absolutely nothing and is just measuring initial debut week sales. Taylor has been doing a lot of chart manipulation to cover up TTPD's underperformance but it is still showing if you are educated enough to know how to actually contextualize charts.

Week 18 on the Hot 100

#8. Anti-Hero

#37. ICDIWABH
#54. Fortnight

Day 121 on Spotify

TTPD — 15.39M (31 songs + ongoing tour boost)
Midnights — 12.31M (20 songs)

So as I said, the copium this forum has to deny that the millennial girls have fallen off is crazy. Either you guys are clinging too much to your former youth to deny it or just have zero chart comprehension ability, most probably both :rip:

It is not a big deal, everybody falls off and the millennial girls actually lasted VERY long. They will go down as legends. :clap3:

I agree with majority of your post but it's not like Taylor Swift or Ariana Grande fans are millenials. Most millenials dont give a **** about music anymore lol. Taylor and Ariana have mostly young gen Z fans. So whether Taylor and Ariana are millenials or not is irrelevant to the conversation. Now Beyoncé I kinda agree with that.

And also it's not like Gen Z artists like Billie and Olivia haven't suffered a huge decline since their debut. Maybe Billie is the strongest one but Olivia has declined immensely. I just can't think of any other Gen Z artist right now except for Sabrina who is basically performing like a debut artist. So I guess it's not like Gen Z are slaying the game either...

Streaming changed the game forever, it's almost impossible for artists to remain absolute hit makers for decades like it used to be with Rihanna, Katy, etc.

Breath in breath out. You should relax and just accept that TTPD is a super successful album. You talk about tricks but then you mention an album which is constantly having +40% streams from random tracks because they are mass using autoplay. And you are counting number of songs when 50% of HMHAS streams come from just one song.

TTPD as an album is successful meanwhile fornight is not a smash hit, there isn't any song in the album made for being a super successful single. Taylor can take those risks as she already had two super smash last year with Anti-Hero and Cruel Summer and the album doesn't need a strong lead to sell.

What's with that Olivia Stan trying to make it seem like TTPD underperformed. Lols. Talk about pot calling the kettle black. It's not like TTPD didn't outsell everyone's likey total in one month.

Resorting to insults is about as childish as someone "clinging to youth" whatever that means. The bold red letters do not make your point any more accurate.

You contradicted yourself by showing the chart placements of Beyoncé and Ariana's album and then turned around said Taylor's album placement is a false metric. 6m sold is not an underperformance.

Beyonce, Ariana and Taylor have more charting power than the others. All three of those women have had #1s this year alone. Rihanna isn't active and could obliterate everyone upon re-entry.

Sabrina is having her moment like multiple girls have over the years.

You aren't some chart savant with an expertise in reading charts and nothing you wrote suggests it.

Having a third of the tracks means nothing when it's only stans streaming the album tracks for both months after being out, and nearly half of HMHAS's streams come from one song.

TTPD doing 3m more than Midnights right now means they're equal, as Anthology's bonus tracks account for just under 3m, not a decline. Saying Gen Z are stomping on the "older" girls is incredibly dull if you base that on day to day comparisons, especially since HMHAS is never going to surpass TTPD, and none of the Gen Z girls outside Billie, Olivia or Sabrina are seeing Ariana or Bey's numbers

HMHAS is definitely going to surpass TTPD in streams at some point. Also your last argument makes no sense. One could say that actually no millenial girl except Taylor is seeing Sabrina, Olivia or Billie numbers.

Taylor is still on top even if TTPD produced no hits, but it's silly to argue that Ariana or Beyonce haven't declined. They are factually getting outsold and outstreamed by the new girls and that's fine. No one stays on top

The gap between TTPD and HMHAS is at over 2 billion and the daily gap is not very big (and long run will only get smaller). Chances of it ever surpassing it are very slim, and absolutely 0 within the next year.

Bey declined no one is denying that about CC, and Ariana did very much on par to Positions without a deluxe, y'all are acting as if they flopped to oblivion.

To be fair, it's nice that she's been compared to actual MPGs, it is an excellent sign for her and a statement of her current power, she is not part of the faceless girls group anymore.
