I can forgive him for tanking my 11, certain 10s though... not so much. But at least the good sis provides some entertainment, which is a need in these trying times. Part 2 is where I'll be throwing hands. Both work for me I guess. 1
AvadaKedavra Posted October 13 Posted October 13 I gave some low scores to some songs too but is rare for me to dislike an ayu song. Even the fillers i love them I love my good sis curaga she's a star 1
Curaga Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Sorry I was absent yesterday—I had a completely full day! But maybe it was good I wasn't here nnn 18 hours ago, Kyle-x said: We need the average score of Curaga's ratings from the last 10 Avg 5.12 Pretty close to a 5.0/curve average, so that makes sense to me. Spoiler 50. ANGEL'S SONG - 4.7 49. WE WISH - 6.1 48. ever free - 3.7 47. Trust - 7.8 46. HANABI ~episode II~ - 7.6 45. walking proud - 4.5 44. I am... - 3.1 43. End of the World - 9.3 42. Voyage - 0 41. Daybreak - 4.4 I'll have wait to see who the winner(s) are to say if I regretted doing it this way and if I'll be doing the same in part 2 or not. At least the entertainment factor is there nnn 17 hours ago, Kyle-x said: Curaga in the thread: M is actually good Curaga in the scores: 0.1 aahahsldkfjasdlgkh I'm never beating the allegations. Y'all would never believe that doing this rate and spending so much time with these albums has turned from a casual Ayu fan to a lowkey stan; I wouldn't have/couldn't have listened to all these albums 6+ times all the way through if I really though they were as bad as my curve scores let on I only hesitate to call myself a full-on stan because I have absolutely nothing on your knowledge of remixes, B-sides, PVs, CMs, live performances, and other appearances Your dedication is impressive! 13 hours ago, Suilen said: Maybe we bullied Curaga a bit too much. 13 hours ago, Kyle-x said: Curaga we still love you 59 minutes ago, AvadaKedavra said: I love my good sis curaga she's a star Thanks, ladies 1

Curaga Posted October 13 Posted October 13 (edited) Praying you're starting early out of the kindness of your heart and not because my 11 is out soon! Edited October 13 by Curaga
Graves Posted October 13 Author Posted October 13 Just now, Curaga said: Praying you're starting early out of the kindness of your and heart and not because my 11 is out soon! No, just mine. Track #8 on Memorial address 11 x 1: Me HIGH SCORE: 10 x 7 (Kyle-x, SA*KURA, UrMom, blueberries, Bad Decisions, sanzo, Katamari) LOW SCORE: 4.6 x 1 (Curaga) HOST SCORE: 11 Memorial address occupies an odd spot on the album of the same name. Acting as both it's title track and it's orphan child. The song that gave the whole album an identity, yet the only one to receive no video. I think watching any of the live performances of this song could tell you why. It clearly cuts right to the bone for Ayu, and she gives it some of her most emotionally charged performances. It's too much for her sometimes. I think that kind of impossible relationship, to be so important and yet so forgotten, is somehow perfect for a track like this. I know its one of the oldest tricks in Ayu's book, the soft start that builds into an explosive climax, but I really don't think it's ever done better than right here. Maybe it's the genuinely heart wrenching lyrics that add to it? Or maybe that hard rock ensemble that give this track some backbone as it barrels towards the finish line. I really like that Ayu lets us hear the chorus once under the soft piano backing, before the song goes all out. Sometimes she kind of plays her hand too early and spoils the journey of a song, but not here. I love this track dearly. This is one of my favorite lyrical moments from Ayu too, a pretty blatant send-off track to her absent father. A final farewell. It's kind of a rarity from a writer who often prefers to hide behind metaphors and generality. This is one time that she chose to let us in, with no holds barred. In a weird way, I also think of this song as a farewell to this era of her career too. I know it's not technically the last track here, but I always say the Memorial address mini as something of a metamorphic release. The Ayu at the end of this album being a different pop star to the one at the start... Suilen: a bit messy but I like her spirit. Kyle-x: Now this is one of my all time favorite songs. Another daddy issues anthem. Invisibility: She was in her Kelly Clarkson feelings for this one. The buildup>> Curaga: The piano at the end reminds me of that piano phrase in Far away. 5/9 3
