That tour was specifically made for fans, and the fans love it because of that of course. As a casual listener I find other tours way more interesting, and I kinda see that's the case for most non-Swifties. Still, nothing will top it gross wise

I think Taylor will hold the record for tour profit for a VERY, VERY long time. Everything aligned perfectly for her with this tour - the re-recordings, COVID making everyone desperate for normalcy again and missing live events, and a general sadness and stress globally that the Eras Tour gave people something positive to focus on and create community around.

 

But as for the actual production? I mean... it's just giant screens and Taylor walking back and forth.

 

She works hard and puts on a great show, but Taylor isn't a very dynamic performer. The show is also very, very long - most of my family left the room out of boredom when we attempted to watch it over Christmas by the 1.5 hour mark, and even I started checking my phone and the time past that lol 

 

I can only hope Taylor's fans can appreciate this tour for the cultural moment it was over time, and not spend the next decade trying to convince everyone this show's spectacle is on the level of MJ, Madonna, Gaga or Beyonce.

Well then maybe someone else will (Adele?). Taylor isn't the biggest act in UK music history. But this was very specific, I was talking about global tours and that all of the aforementioned ones would gross more with a GH tour. And that the Eras Tour will be topped gross-wise at one point.

I'm terms of numbers and monetary success, yes. What she's done is impressive.

 

But nobody will ever outdo The Blond Ambition Tour.
