Same goes on Spotify Korea and Japan he is topping there but doesn't charts on major cities and neither domestic charts. Why do they care so much about getting him to chart in America when most Americans don't even speak Korean though? It seems like such a pointless exercise I feel like if you went to any American college and showed students a photo of him, none of them would know who he is. If you asked "who is Jimin?" none of them would be able to tell you. If you played them his song, they'd say "oh, I don't listen to K-pop, sorry" and if you asked them why, they'd say "…because I have no idea what he's saying." It just seems like a lot of effort to rig a market that, ultimately, is never going to care. What good are these numbers if no one in the country actually knows who you are, what you sing, or what you're even singing about?
KillingYourCareer Posted August 16 Posted August 16 It is known that BTS songs are almost completely botted on Spotify in Western countries. Check out Apple Music for more realistic figures for his song. That's right, N/A in the US top 200!
MardinBeksloy Posted August 16 Posted August 16 This is ridiculous. This is why Apple Music will always be the better streaming service.
Rama Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Why am I just finding out streams can be manipulated so easily? How are streams thru VPNs not filtered?
Bloodflowers. Posted August 16 Posted August 16 The success is plastic and fake just like his music 2
Sad Beautiful Tragic Posted August 16 Posted August 16 I'm not sure why these discussions arise whenever a K-pop group nears the top of the charts Clearly, much of their success comes from an extremely devoted fanbase - one that will stream and buy anything their favourite artists release, no matter what. Their fans are so committed that even a track of them farting would likely outsell everyone but Taylor Swift. Rather than questioning this success, Western music labels should focus on how to build a similarly passionate fanbase for their own artists. 2
RiseAndShine Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Jimin is just about the worst singer in kpop. That song is ******* awful.

They are very strict with small artists and cancel their accounts Even if an outside source sends the streams But with huge label artists they can bot them all they want
smartalek22 Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Reminds me of the Leftovermax situation of botted streams (and allegedly Artemas too), and Spotify just removed it because it was some random khia

They're always posting about I Like the Way You Kiss Me's streaming stats almost every single day on Twitter. 1
