piotrert Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Can't we get separate thread for every artist in top10? it would make it more interesting to discuss

The Music Industry Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Ariana being above the likes of Adele and Eminem makes me question what the top 8 will actually look like
Feanor Posted October 20 Posted October 20 (edited) In the podcast for this countdown, they teased at the very end of the latest episode that #8 is someone Ariana has collaborated with, so it's either Bieber or Gaga (my guess is Bieber). Edited October 20 by Feanor

If it's Bieber, I could see the Top 5 being all pop girls
Kool_Aid_King Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Wow I'm surprised to see Adele at 10. Thought she was gonna be #6 Bieber & Ariana were predicted for 9 & 8 imo. #7. Kanye #6. Gaga #5. Britney #4. Rihanna #3. Drake #2. Beyoncé #1. Taylor Swift -Britney only has 12 years of activity. -Rihanna only has 12 years of activity (I know Anti has had longevity though) I can see the #4-2 being shuffled, but I feel like Taylor is for sure at #1.

It says 21st Century, but the articles say past 25 years.. Quote Billboard is spending the next few months counting down our staff picks for the 25 greatest pop stars of the last 25 years. They were counting No Strings Attached for JT, which came out in 2000. So it should be either 1999 or 2000 onwards, I guess.

So If it's 2000, that would still be 25 years since 00 would count as 1, does that make sense? So Brit was 2000-2011 for active years - 12 years (I don't think BJ or Glory would help her too much) Rih was 2005-2017 for active years - 13 years (Anti has phenomenal recurring stats, so that could swing it to make her #2) Bey has been active with DC and Solo since 2000 and present. Taylor has been consistently massive and at the top since 2006. Those two make the most sense to me for #1 and #2. 1

Although Scream & Shout, Work *****, and Hold Me Closer should also help a bit. No doubt Tay and Bey will be #1 and #2. The question is... who's gonna be #3? Rih? Brit? Drake?
