Eminem below Ariana, Usher & Kanye make absolute no sense I'm sorry. And if those 3 are not in the list and there is someone else instead it would be even worse.

All the others positions I do understand somehow how they reached to that conclusion but with Eminem truly no idea.

#1 Taylor (I'd be highly surprise if Billboard staff knowing how they work don't put her at #1)

————

#2 Beyonce

————

#3 Justin Bieber

#4 Rihanna

#5 Drake

#6 Britney

#7 Lady Gaga

—————

#8 Adele

—————
#9 Ariana Grande

#10 Kanye

#11 Usher

The blocks mark that between those block I could see them shifting to some extent

But they not giving Coldplay not even an honorable mention when they have been the most successful group of the last 25 years WW is wild

They said on the podcast that Coldplay is not included, idk what episode though. Likely the first one. Idk why they didn't just add them to the hon'ble mentions if that was the case.

I just read about how big Black Eyed Peas were in the early 2000s. How did they not have them and Avril in the honorable mentions?

The remaining spots will more than likely go to (in no order) Gaga, Ariana, Bieber, Kanye, Usher, Taylor, Beyonce, Britney, Drake, Adele, and Rihanna. Bey or Taylor will be #1/#2. Britney will be top 5. Not sure of the rest but they aren't focusing solely on numbers, the celebrity and pop star of it all matters. Adele might miss top 10.

It's funny, most of those artists are way below Eminem's success.
Whoever is making this list is just showing that they have no idea about Billboard

Eminem is so low  :rip:

He was the top artist of the 00's and one of the few artists of the early 00's that it's still relevant currently along with Beyoncé :skull:

Exactly. This feels more like a list from 2010-2024 than a list from the last 25 years  :rip:

Black Eyed Peas at their peak were way bigger than Bad Bunny for example.

Eminem is definitely top 5, even top three. This list is ridiculous. I just don't see how Kanya, Ariana, Usher and Britney could be above him (even Gaga) but then this is likely not just a numbers-based list so I'm not sure how they ranked these pop stars.

Coldplay got mentioned in multiple articles from this list (ex. Bruno Mars, BTS), knowing they're not included just makes the situation extra embarrassing :deadbanana4:

Coldplay Linkin Park Avril Black Eyed Peas not in the top50?:biblionny:

What is the list based on? Since it's Billboard I assumed it would be in terms of success but with Eminem out of the top 10 I'm pretty sure it isn't.

Ariana will be higher than Eminem (!!!) and Usher???? :deadbanana4:

So is Taylor or Beyoncé gonna be at #1? It's between those two for sure

This list has been... beyond questionable. Billboard says they're not considering chart success but Drake will somehow end up in the top 10 while Bruno Mars and The Weeknd barely made the top 20. :doc: Shakira was ranked criminally low too, and somehow Coldplay are getting completely snubbed??? What a joke.

Beyoncé is the only correct choice for #1, so I hope they at least get that right. :dancehall:  For me, a truly great pop star should have the complete package in terms of not only having timeless smash hits, but being a strong, engaging performer, having a consistently great discography, bringing about memorable cultural moments, and inspiring their peers. Beyoncé has all those qualities in spades as well as pushing countless boundaries as a black woman in the industry. And that's not getting into her longevity: while her contemporaries like Usher, Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears already lost stream by the mid-2010s for not innovating and becoming artistically stale (in Britney's case, sadly due to circumstances outside her control), Beyoncé kept setting new standards, inciting conversations, and raising the bar - be it through her music, her visuals, or through her performances.

On another note, it's funny that even if you ignored her 88-99 output, Kylie Minogue's 21st century career would absolutely warrant her a top 15 entry minimum on this list. Shame it's not going to happen, because if there's someone else who embodies all the qualities a great pop star should have in addition to commendable longevity, it's Kylie. :gayliecat1:
