Yes the GP doesn't, seeing why Beyoncé's career is STILL going while the other's career died almost two decade ago

So this is Britney, minus her massive BOMT debut era, and she's still amongst your faves?

The only one in the top 6 who started her solo career in the 90s with solo material that won't count for this list?

And y'all are dragging her? :rip:

5th place is "an artist who paid a particularly memorable tribute to Britney at one point in the early 2010s".

They are talking about Gaga giving Britney the Vanguard Award?

This could apply to any of them bar Drake :rip:

Taylor or Bey will be #1. But most likely Taylor

I'm not really mad if Rih ends up above Gar but there's a chance theyll put Gaga above.

Are people on here really making it seem like Britney should be higher than Beyonce on this list lmfao? Britney was IT but Beyonce has the longevity and pushed herself in ways nobody ever really expected and has the talent to back the hits and the acclaim up. I'm sorry but bias will always be at play with these opinions lol

Britney Stans getting so triggered by her placement :rip:

Britney had massive success but it wasn't sustained for long let's be serious. Look at Madonna, Bey, and Taylor's long illustrious career, catalogue, and multiple repeaks

You just can't compare. #6 is a cute position for her

Britney deserves to be above none of the remaining artists. She's an icon, legend, and an important figure in pop music history. But when you look at 21st century... it doesn't include Britney's massive debut era and Britney's been out of the public eye for 7 years now. Plus, Britney Jean and Glory were less than stellar eras for her.

#6 is an incredible achievement and not something to be undermined. Congratulations Ms Spears :clap3:

Ho, stop playing dumb Beyoncé has sold more records than Britney your fave has been irrelevant for over a decade built a bridge and get over stink

 :ryan3:

Britney has never bombed like The Gift and Britney has moved more album equivalents than Beyonce. Beyoncé's current streams are a disaster for an artist that has released 6 studio albums in the streaming era.

Spotify Update for 10/30:

Toxic - 1,194,383

II Most Wanted (with Miley Cyrus) - 89,064

Texas Hold 'Em - 549,740

America Has A Problem - 53,553 + 46,840 (Kendrick Remix)

Cuff It - 268,822

Break My Soul - 114,421

Black Parade - 10,495

Brown Skin Girl - 36,943

Spirit - 19,751

APESHIT - 43,960

All Night - 33,206

Hold Up - 48,514

Sorry - 47,633

Formation - 102,463

Total: 1,485,136

You have to combine all of the singles from Beyoncé's last five studio albums just for them to be pulling as many units TODAY, 10/30, as one Britney Spears song from 2004.

I was going to do a list of all of the Beyonce songs that Toxic is outstreaming…..but that's literally her entire career.

Beyonce has the longevity

Love Beyonce and she should obviously be #2, but Britney had more longevity. She was able to maintain relevance and never had to cheat the charts to secure her position (payola during Dangerously In Love for airplay and then faked streams during Lemonade).

And? Beyonce has bombs like The Gift (Deluxe) that did worse than both albums mentioned and Lady Gaga literally just had a studio album spend one week on the charts (at #20). At least Britney's flops weren't disasters and had some redeeming factors.

Britney has never bombed like The Gift

Chartmasters:
The Gift - 1,229,000
Glory - 1,115,000

A khia African soundtrack album outsold Britney's latest studio album. Even your disingenuous comparison falls FLAT! :deadbanana4:

side projects are not studio albums?

even then, Beyoncé's flop The Lion King: The Gift (#2) outcharted the first weeks of both Glory (#3) and Britney Jean (#4)...

I love Britney but she hasn't had a profound music era in like years. Her position is both commendable and valid.

I think the battle for 4th and 5th is much more interesting bc there are arguments for both Gaga and Drake to place in either slot.

the top 3 seems solidly secured, even with Rihanna being musically absent for years, her entire career exists within the 21st century and it's an undeniable 3rd place behind the careers of Beyonce and Taylor in the 21C.

Everything mentioned is a studio album. Live albums like Homecoming were not counted.

First week:
Glory - 111k units

Britney Jean - 107k pure sales

The Gift - 54k units

Beyonce CSPC Update: 7/9/22

Britney CSPC Update: 4/28/19

None of Britney's sales on the site include anything sold beyond April 2019. The tracks that released after 4/28/19 are not included at all and that includes everything from the Deluxe of Glory.

You're trying to compare an up-to-date The Gift with all bonus tracks to Glory before the re-release.

I think the final list will be:

5) Gaga
4) Rihanna
3) Beyonce

2) Drake
1) Taylor

Britney stans really live in 2000, how is this even a question when Beyonce has been outselling, charting, acclaiming and awarding Britney since literally 2003. Hell Survivor sold more than Britney in 2001. Y'all really clinging on to those 6 years in that girls career and ignoring the last 20 years is actually wild.
