There's literally no cultural phenomenon like Taylor Swift in the last 15 years. Stop being pressed, jealous, delusional, or whatever. Her reasoning is immaterial. I'm shedding light on the fact that she did and its implication. Not to me but go off.
Klein Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Of course everyone (from both sides) would become so hostile about it. Who's even surprised at this point.

It takes an entire village to support a pop star, and none of them are excluded from needing the help of countless to execute their vision. Even Britney still has several people that help her manage her brand. Taylor has producers and co-writers that have helped her perfect her work before it is released, in many cases drastically improving and/or changing the original work. You can glean a look at the DISASTROUS TV versions of, for example Style and Blank Space, with just the simple exclusion of Max Martin. Does that mean Taylor is just an entertainer as well? benyonce Posted November 27 Posted November 27 1 hour ago, Bumba said: If this is about numbers, I don't get how Beyoncé is higher. Taylor sold more albums/singles/tour gross. Beyoncé is a good artistic artist, but she is a flop nowadays. Beyoncé gets no press anymore, her business ventures flop, her tour kinda flopped because it didn't sell out every date, it just had high concert prices, her latest music release was a huge flop, the lead single was very frontloaded, ask anybody if they know her latest music, they will think it's Break My Soul or Drunk In Love, her concert movie also was a flop (grossed 40 million dollar, taylor did 300 million), her catalog isn't getting streamed because she is not as remembered as people think she is by the GP (beyonce gets 10m daily streams, taylor gets 60m daily streams on spotify), her visuals also are lowley viewed (Texas has 50 million, fortnight 130 million). Taylor has a bigger career by stats over the last 10 years. Maybe they added DC's stats but then do this list in 5 more years and Taylor will have passed that. You could've just left this at your first sentence instead of going off on a rant full of lies and inaccuracies. Taylor beats Beyoncé solo from a stats perspective, no one is denying that. "Beyoncé gets no press" Please be real for a second, the same press people complain is so dominant "Jay Z must've paid for?" "Didn't sell out every date" Renaissance World Tour from only 56 Dates - 2,776,853 / 2,776,853 (100%) $579,879, 268 "Her latest music release was a huge flop" - 2nd Biggest female debut of the year for CC and multi week solo number 1 'Texas Hold 'Em' in her 28th year doesn't scream "flop". "her visuals also are lowley viewed" then proceed to use Texas as an example which has no visual. ] 2
Odette Violet Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Outside of numbers and commercial success. The imaginary of a great pop star does represents Bey better, a singer dancer performer entertainer. No shade to Miss Swift.
NextBish90 Posted November 27 Posted November 27 So this whole chart by Billboard was a paid advertisement for SHE KNOWS! That's it, a paid article. Changes and means nothing. 1 4
Badgalbriel Posted November 27 Posted November 27 You guys arw giving this list too much credit. And being second to Beyonce is no drag at all. Beyoncé IS the greatest artist of the century. She's not the biggest (far from it), but this is not what this list is about. 4
faceclef Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Not sure why swifties are crying billboard literally told you their criteria and emphasized longevity 2 1

Antisocialites Posted November 27 Posted November 27 it's so funny that now that fandom has suddenly forgotten about feminism and is attributing Beyoncé's success to a man. so much for The Man stans. 4 1

Titanbaddie Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Y'all wanted people who don't sing, dance, perform, make better video, put on better shows and don't have the longevity Beyonce has in the industry to be higher than her on the list based on digital sales and Spotify streams? Y'all are very unserious people. 9 1 2
JustHoran Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Beyonce 100% deserves to be on this list, but #1 is crazy.. 7

Y'all are always hella disrespectful to Black artists. @TayDuaStan you got a lot of nerve and must. The "twitter vibes" thing #they try to push makes no sense when Bey was a superstar LONG before Twitter and will be here long after it, and she gets the most criticism of any pop star on Twitter/social media. Look at how many people dogpiled on her by trying to make Diddy's crimes her responsibility smh. But sure, "twitter vibes"
GreatestLoveofAll Posted November 27 Posted November 27 I didnt think they'd actually do it but kudos for BB for this choice. Honestly I dont think there has ever been a contest this debated and close in modern music history. i for one think they made the right choice but the article points out very compelling and correct arguments that would be made for Taylor to have the number one spot and I wouldnt even be mad. But im happy Giselle got it.
Mr. Duff Posted November 27 Posted November 27 I'm in shock, Taylor deserved that #1. This is a subjective list though so not to worry too much. Taylor 1 1
Carter Posted November 27 Posted November 27 before y'all actually burn someones house down, remember there's a new rendition of this list in 10 years or so. 2
