True tbh. If we're talking about being musically risky though, then that's a bit more debatable.

I love Katy but the only risk she ever took was Witness :rip: and we know how that turned out

why does it look like Katy is on something in that video.  :gaycat7:  like it's terrifying.

The lack of self awareness. She hasn't taken a risk after her first album. It all sounds sanitized and safe. Watered down and outdated comes to mind when I think of WW & Lifetimes. Certainly not 'risky'.

WHAT risk have you ever taken Katheryn. 5 seconds

And worse, releasing a 'funny' 8-minute comedy sketch as "Birthday" 's music video, featuring low brow attempts at humour and awkward Jewish stereotypes :doc:

The song itself is actually great - my favourite single off "Prism". But that video truly killed its chances of becoming a bigger hit, especially when Maroon 5 would release the similar-sounding "Sugar" a year later to much success (and a more respectable visual to accompany it).

Considering the previous single "Dark Horse" had become her biggest chart success, following it up with this was surely some risk-taking. :rip:

her riskiest moment was has debut single and she hasn't taken a risk as daring since :rip:

she is delulu at best...taking herself too seriously..Like Girl the only risk you have taken is first single until now to release WW by collaborating with *____* in 2024.

But she is still positive with her career and looks happy. not everyone can have this when they have been flopping for almost a decade.

She is really slow like I can't even get mad at her, that's how her brain works :rip:

Witness was definitely a risk.

To go from Bimbo pin up to Ellen DeGeneres look was risky

You've been doing the same clown sh*t for years, woman.

I see no lies, she has been taking risks since her transition from Christian Rocker to Alanis to Pinup Lily Allen to Katy Perry. If she wasn't talking risks, y'all wouldn't care so much about this era.

"I take (the wrong) risks."

Ok, now it's correct. :ryan3:

I used to love Katy and her even pursuing a career in pop music was a risk considering her family background. She was extremely poor at some times in her life and extremely lucky she got signed at Capitol. But everything that happened after the release of I Kissed A Girl was not risky at all.
