By this point Capitol records should drop her as she's losing them money…no way they've made any profit.

This has to be the biggest pop in modern pop culture history. Holy. *******. ****.

The thing is, had she released a good song, a song that focused on artistic merit and evolution, this wouldn't be as bad because then she could be like, "I made something I put my heart into." The fact that this song was made in a factory with the sole purpose of "SLAYING THE CHARTS" is what makes this so embarrassingly bad. Wow.

Katy does not have a solid fanbase to support her in the debut week and the backlash has been so important, I'm not surprised the song bombed this hard. It's gonna leave next week.

What will be interesting to see is how they handle the whole era though because it started on a very negative note and already pissed off so many of her audience.

Anything less than Top 40 debut is a failure, even The Cure debuted Top 40

The fact this floppage is being picked up by major music publications :jonny5:. When was the last time that happened?

It astounds me that WW actually debuted much lower than Daisies. All that controversy that she got for working with Dr. Luke and he couldn't even grant her a Top 40 hit. "Hitmaker" my ass.:bibliahh:

How are there 62 other songs over it in the US during its release week? Oh miss Katherine :giraffe:

Ms. Perry got her just desserts for making such a poor public relations choice for the sake of an easy hit. No wonder she's voted  Republican - she'd do anything to get ahead. Glad it backfired on her.
