Both IT Girl and Midnight Cowboy sound like Wasabi/Cut You Off-esque. Fantasy sounds like Love (Sweet Love).

and Jade is such a Wasabi stan you can tell she's trying to recreate it :rip:

This is… a take

They're literally produced by the same guy that did Wasabi :skull:

it's blatantly clear she went into this album with it as inspiration. She's always pandered to gays too much (hence why LM nosedived after Glory Days).

I mean, if you genuinely believe her singles sound like Wasabi or any other LM mix for that matter then that's your opinion, I also don't see what type of music you were expecting her to release other than pop songs?

No they aren't....?

It Girl is produced by Lostboy + Cirkut, Wasabi was produced by Mike Sabath

Mike Sabath produced AOMD and Fantasy and it's certainly an opinion saying those songs sound like Wasabi

Lostboy produced Cut You Off and that certainly doesn't sound like IT Girl so I don't know what that poster is on.

We could be having this conversation if we were talking about Perrie since her singles are a little on the safe side and do sound like something Little Mix would release but to say JADE and Leigh-Anne are releasing LM material is WILD to me

I wonder if her going so openly against Simon resulted in her getting somewhat blacklisted. Its just so weird how the song is actually totally fine but she's not getting a hit of any of these great songs

Why are people failing to realise that this isn't a single and it's a promo track?

All this discourse about her releasing so many songs, just doesn't make sense to me. She's released 2 singles and 2 promo songs, it isn't hard to comprehend.

It's obvious that they are focusing on her building a fanbase rather than going for commercial hits straight out of the gate and it's a good idea. That's why she's dropping these promo songs in between singles.

Lets go!!!!!! Jade has released pure bops!

Will she push this song or she'll move to FUFN?

The wasabi thing was already explained. But I agree that they pandered the gays after Glory Days, I defer in that it was a nosedive, since at least here in Arg they actually became known and club staples.

Reggaeton Lento, Woman Like Me, Sweet Melody, Confetti and Heartbreak Anthem are still played.

I find it funny that she's being criticized for dropping songs in between singles :rip: and accompanying them with visuals, we are in the streaming era, what else do you expect her to do? drop a single and disappear for six months?

Imagine complaining about being fed…

Anyway when the album is out none of this discourse will stand.

I honestly never expected any of them to have success

They milked their time of success with Little Mix and UNFORTUNATELY ageism on female artists is reap

Out of all of them Jade gave us quality maybe if this was after glory days she could have had her successful era but ...

I mean never say never , Charli did it last year but it doesn't happen very often

Also i dont want to comment megative about the girls but Jade gurl you gave in 4 bops barely a chorus of choreo , her clips are really boring unfortunately

I just hope we really get FUFN and the album in the next 2 months

She's the only one capable of legitimately carving out a fanbase for herself not based on her Little Mix past so I do think it's cool that they're focusing on getting her to become a  recognizable name instead of trying to score a faceless hit from the get go. They obviously believe in her sound and formula.

It's wild to me how most of you think success happens overnight, the girls are doing their thing, releasing material and carving their way in the current pop landscape. Cut them some slack

idk I've been loving JADE's campaign all-around! The 'world building' approach is really catered to music-heads / fans & showcases the passion behind her art that was maybe limited by management, etc. when she was in LM. It's exciting even as a Mixer from 2011 to see the girls venturing in new lanes / getting to know them better creatively - that's the whole pt of solo discographies! JADE's in particular has been super intriguing & with interviews, social media content, some performances, etc. etc. I'd say she's pacing herself very well / putting in a lot of effort.

I really do hope they take advantage of the momentum & announce the album sooner rather than later (this wk would be ideal). I'm not really feeling That's Showbiz, Baby! as a title - I don't see how it could connect to songs like Fantasy x FUFN x Unconditional. IT GIRL could be interesting as she could take that phrase, make it her own & somehow spin its meaning for all the tracks. There have been lots of elements in the songs we've heard so far that are very non-conventional / "different" from an ex-girl group member to play with so I think she could pull that title off super well.

Butyeah the 'worry' for her commercial performance is strange imo. The fact that AOMD even had the success that it did considering it's not a commercial / traditional track like that is astounding. Midnight Cowboy charting too [in the UK] is an achievement that's very overlooked as well / was a huge 'Win' for her in my book. It proved that her base is growing rapidly enough & that there's public interest in her. Although Fantasy underperformed a bit the song being vastly different from the first two showed more range & there's a specific audience that may connect with that song more than AOMD x MC. I think as long as each pre-album track she drops charts to some degree in the UK she'll be just fine / have a successful album launch. The album's undoubtedly going to be great - I'm sure it'll have legs.

I won't lie, I actually did get Wasabi teas the first time I listened to It Girl :skull: It's by no means a copycat, but the inspiration is definitely there imo.

I still think Silent Disco is a more fitting sound for the project as a whole. The industry theme won't be as present as it may seem now... But TSB is still a cool name and they could make a nice marketing campaign around that phrase with her saying that as an answer to anything.

I think the discourse around Jade's music sounding like LM is funny considering she was the one contributing the most to the group's sound, like of course it sounds similar, she wrote and produced for them more than any of the other girls.

i just remembered that we will get remixes and this song is literally perfect for another artist to jump on. i'm hoping for something like the fantasy remix with channel tres where the existing structure and production stays the same.

need her to go all out with the guest feature because there is huge potential :grump:
