It needed some promo cuz the song it's fantastic, maybe not single material but it's one of the best pop songs of the year and that remix with Channel Tres is even better.

Hedging their bets on the off chance that this blows up and does better than expected, perhaps? It does feel a little bit like they don't want to fully commit to this as a "single" for whatever reason

It's been hinted at twice now, the date "10-1" was edited in to one of the pics she posted from the visualiser shoot in one of her Instagram dumps

 

And in the latest pic she posted in todays insta date, the numbers on the barcode on the broken plate (again from the video shoot) reads 10012025 (10th jan)

I feel like you could be onto something with the album announcement, especially if it's titled TSB. IT girl would be the perfect grat track to drop alongside the announcement to boost pre orders!

 

They now have a section for "pre-order" on her website too… Maybe preparing for the album pre-order which will likely have different options/bundles.

All these what you said plus me i dont understand the entire thing she and Perrie seem to do to tease a song for like weeks even months before you release it and at the end when the song is out we have practically heard of 80% of it

I've never understood this sort of promo, I only see smaller artists doing this for tiktok, it's not a common strategy otherwise 

 

It should be 2 weeks max of audio being on tiktok, not like a whole month+, Perrie did that for her first single and people were kind of over it once it actually dropped
