oh my god, Enrique Iglesias is a TERRIBLE live performer

Just googled his name and damn

"Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias has claimed he has the ''smallest ***** in the world'' and did not lose his virginity until he was 25"

The singer - whose crooner father Julio Iglesias claims he has bedded over 2,000 women - has previously revealed a desire to increase the size of his manhood because it is "way, way, way too small".

He said: "I'd change my ***** if I could. It's way, way, way too small. I can never find extra-small condoms."

Why is it a surprise to you?

He's been like that since 2010.

He keeps touring and touring without any creativity process.

He only goes on the stage and sings, that's it.

I never understand why some artists keep wearing the same shirt on tour. He's one. Chris Martin is another. I can smell it in front of my screen.

In what world is Anna Kournikova the most beautiful woman alive :skull:

-

Anyway, he sounds terrible.

On planet earth.

Maybe not today, but in the early 2000s without a doubt.

She was literally voted hottest woman in the world in FHM UK, US editions and had a computer virus named after her bc so many men infected their computers trying to see her naked. People forget how mainstream her beauty was back then.

Yeah, the guy is pretty much talentless, especially compared to his father. Most undeserving nepo baby of all time :rip:

Julio Iglesias's singing voice is so classically trained compared to him.

Enrique can sing too but he's not focused on anything.

Looks like tons of pretty European women to me.

Adriana Lima, Angelina Jolie, Naomi Campbell, Britney, Beyoncé, Rihanna and many other women were just as beautiful if not more at their peaks.

…In 1 year

There have been tons of women that have been voted most beautiful on those lists (which have very Eurocentric beauty standards)

JLO topped it twice while Anna topped it once.

FHM (Your own source)

Sexiest women of the decade - N/A

Sexiest women of all time - #8 (Rachel Steven's was #1 and JLO was #2)

And on some lists like Maxim even Taylor topped it in 2015 :rip: They mean absolutely nothing.

AnnaK was a phenomenon in the late 90s - early 00s for her beauty that transcended tennis and quite literally played a huge role in popularizing the sport with an entirely new audience. It's well-documented. She beat out celebrities, musicians, actresses on these lists and became a global news sensation.

To argue that she wasn't at least one of the most beautiful women of that era is CRAZY.

Sis she's beautiful no doubt, I just don't think she is or ever was the most beautiful woman in the world :michael:

We're just gonna have to agree to disagree.

I used to be an Enrique stan for about 2 years (2010-2012) and I Like It was the song that I did not expect to fall in love with. It has been a while since I last watched a performance of him live, and the videos posted reminded me of how not good he was when performing live. It has definitely gotten worse as he approaches the big 5-0. Having said that, he remains hot and sexy and not many men at ~50 can claim to be as hot as Enrique.

I don't really think it's entirely accurate to call him a nepo baby. In fact, he tried to launch his music career behind his dad's back and used a different last name and pretended to be Guatemalan initially. His relationship with his dad was also a little tricky/messy for quite a number of years anyway. His elder brother's music career was a complete flop while Enrique has a few Hot 100 top 5 hits and is known as the King of Latin Pop, so Enrique must have done something right to carve out his own niche/fanbase.

In any case, Bailamos, Hero, I Like It and Tonight (I'm Lovin' You) are certified jams and Heartbeat, Taking Back My Love, Tired of Being Sorry and Cuando Me Enamoro are great songs as well.

He's one of only 3 Spaniards that I care about, the other 2 being F1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz Jr (who is also coincidentally born in Madrid, is hot and sexy and lives in the shadow of his dad initially)

he is retiring, maybe he realized hes not that good of a performer :giraffe:

Off topic, but I've always been bothered by the fact that Enrique's dad and granddad are odd men who liked to have children despite being very advanced in age. Enrique has half-siblings who are ~30 years younger than him, and his grandfather is among only ~10 men or so who are verified to have fathered children in his 90s. s:wan: So Enrique's half-uncle is like ~30 years younger than him. I wonder if he has any sort of interaction with these younger family members.

His performance are ~baddd and he's probably lost most of his drive to a music star. Howver, since he's probably retiring next year, I guess I should fly to watch him live before he stops performing for good, assuming the price is right.

As others have already pointed out whole idea of Enrique being a nepo baby is kinda debatable when he was never close to his father. He felt so strongly that he didn't want any help from his last name that he shopped his demo tapes around under a pseudonym with a falsified backstory. I've never really gotten the big deal about nepo babies when it comes to the music industry anyway. For every MIley Cyrus and Liza Minelli there are way more Sean Lennons, Ziggy Marleys and Julio Iglesias Jrs. Yeah the best argument for Enrique's career is comparing it to his brother who came into the industry with all the advantages Enrique didn't and has failed despite multiple attempts. Coming from a famous family has some advantages but ultimately you only really succeed if the public feels you've got something about you worth buying your music.

I'm also not sure I agree with the idea that he's talentless either. He's written huge Spanish songs like Enamorado Por Primera Vez and Nunca Te Olvidare completely on his own. Many of his co-writers have praised his songwriting and even these days with a few exceptions if his name appears on the songwriting credits it's because he genuinely contributed to it. He's also been incredibly savvy too. More than once he's pushed for specific songs and artistic directions that were hugely successful and resisted others that weren't. It's how he's been able to come back to relevancy so many times across multiple genres over three decades.

In regards to his vocals and performance I think people have been way too harsh. Like he was never a power house vocalist but his voice was more than fine for the kind of material he sang. You'd think a board dedicated to pop music would be more sympathetic to the idea that you don't have to be an opera singer to be a successful performer. Up until 2013 almost every major network US TV performance was completely live and it always sounded good to great. The idea he was always bad but somehow hypnotized people into thinking otherwise is more than a little silly. I don't think his vocals and performing ability would face anywhere near the kind of scrutiny if he wasn't the son of Julio Iglesias. Certainly having a famous father has been more a hindrance in this regard. Sure his voice is not for everyone particularly when he has an audible Spanish accent (something that had dogged all the Latin crossover artists) but can people honestly day that these were bad performances:

It's true that his voice has deteriorated over the years due to his near constant touring. In a sad way it's kinda become a self fulfilling prophecy. For decades people said he couldn't sing and now he can't...at least somewhat. Personally I think he sounds okay for 90% of his concert sets particularly during the acoustic songs. More concerning to me is that he doesn't look entirely well. You could tell around 2017 he was starting to look a little emaciated and zoned out. Clearly he's not 100% physically and it should be noted he's had two big respitory illnesses in as many years and was even hospitalized for the latest one. Personally I don't think he should be doing more than two shows a week and hope during the semi retirement that's what he does.

One thing that no one seems to comment on in the current pile on is that in all of these videos of his recent concerts people still seem to be having a good a great time and going crazy. There are many legacy acts that are no longer at the top of their game but if you have gained a loyal fanbase over the years fans will still go to see your shows because they want to see their favourite artist performing their favourite songs live. With the music blaring and everyone having a good time no one cares if they flat at times or hit a bum note. One thing that really does puzzle me is the asserion he's bad at audience interaction. That's the one thing he has always been great at.  So...yeah leave Enrique alone.
