Is it a lie though? It's clear that Teenage Dream happened because right time and place, if it was because of Katy's talent she would be able to carry that over into these projects just a bit.

I mean yes she did it with Prism already. Witness was too drastic of a shift. That leads us to Never Really Over. A solid top 15 hit with great streams. Now 143 needs to prove itself. This song aint cutting it but the album is far from over. She will redeem herself eventually.

This is the most confusing thing. I know Witness was panned but most of it came from cringe wokeness and terrible lyricism, prouction was never the issue on that album. Then she had glimpses of hope with Never Really Over and Harleys in Hawaii, with the former going viral. Literally what made her think that what was needed for her is to run to Luke? She actually could've had a cute comeback era in a bag rather easily.
