Entirely unsurprising. She’s coming back from the lowest point of her career, the public demand hasn’t been there and the snippets made clear the song sucked. Anything higher was obviously going to be a stretch.

The crazy thing is that if she came back with a true non-campy pop song produced by ANYONE else and a non-cringey video, she would have a top 40 on LOCK, and I wouldn't have even been shocked if it could've been a top 10 if it was good. The hype was FINALLY back for new Katy music. And she literally pissed it away immediately
