2.2M is exactly what should be expected for Katy, not sure why people are surprised

Is 2.26m really that bad?  I was expecting 1.5m at most

With how much she spent the last months to promote like she never before since CTTR, it's bad.

In comparison, Daisies did 1.72m in 2020 when she barely did anything to promote it.

I feel bad for Katy. I do like the song but clearly her fanbase is so small especially in the US that she outright bombed. I'm not sure how this can turn around but I just hope the song is a slow burn for people and will like it eventually.

Or rush release a new single, one that's really a smash.

Yeah I completely agree and I honestly can't understand how this happened. Like, how did she (or anyone around her) not realize this was such a bad idea? What was the thought process?

On the other hand, the song flopping miserably and disappearing from charts after a few days (or maybe not even charting at all) is probably for the best atp. She can pretend it never happened and push single #2, but it needs to be a great song and not produced by Dr. Luke. But she's already lost so much goodwill, it may all be in vain now.

This is the thing right there, they're not gonna be able to act as if this never happened. The first single is absolutely ESSENTIAL when you want to have a big comeback, you need people to root for you. I'm sure there's better songs on the album but i personally no longer feel invested, she completely lost me with her choice to happily work with L*ke of all people. I don't wish her any harm but she's on her own as far as i'm concerned.

Also 1.72M in 2020 is basically the equivalent of 3M or more in 2024 cause streams have gone way up

This just makes me think who tf is she surrounded with in her team?

Like, how do you let things go this bad?

This album rollout is going to be a disaster.

There is no saving it atp. Even if she ignores it and rushes a second single, whenever she does any promotion, people will ask her why she works with Puke like her recent TikTok stream. If she goes to talk shows or online shows, people will ask this question constantly in the comment section.

And her few stans were getting so brave lmao

This is higher than what most ATRLers thought it would receive and higher than many artists' most recent debut. It certainly ain't impressive but it's not a flop debut either. We'll see how it fluctuates in the next days but it's probably going to decrease fast.

Also do we know how many songs Puke involved with in the album? If there are more it's Joe over.

These tired a** posts :rip: girl no one with half a frontal lobe thought this song was going to do anything after we heard the snippets/found out the producer, give it up.

OT: It's what the song deserves for being an awful lead to try and make a comeback with.

Just for info: Viva La Vida, a 2008 song, got more streams yesterday than Woman's World with 2 590 898 streams :rip:

I just got this flashback from CTTR thread. :rip:

Do you have link of CTTR 45k thread? Couldn't find it.

OT: The numbers should fall drastically from day 2. Day 1 numbers should be mostly from pop culture stans and her fans who were rooting for huge comeback. I myself played it at least 10 times before concluding that this is the worst lead song in a long time.

The quirky music video screams millennial and I don't know who this song is for.

US is bad. WW is not good either but more passable considering the playlist reach. #43 without Eminem's album bomb is ok-ish

Timberlake's Selfish opened with 1.7m and that was somehow a decent enough performance to be added to TTH on its second week. So, let's just see how it goes in the next few days I guess? Looking a little bleak (and the other 5 snippets she played all sound dated and weak to me, so that's a major source of concern. She doesn't have a Rain On Me to salvage her Stupid Love)

SL debuted at #6 WW and #2 US how is it even comparable

I don't get it. She should've had some music nerd do the creative direction for the era

This was all wrong for a return considering current trends in both corporate and underground pop.
