Suilen Posted August 10 Author Posted August 10 I'd agree with off-key singing being a detriment in general but it's jpop we're talking about... You just get used to it.

Kyle-x: "WHEW. The way "grow into one" is truly in her top 3 best albums? Let's wake it up!" getinthezone: "so so so underrated" Fevesy: "Something shifted here. Shits about to get real *****" Meloetta Carey: "I love the single cover---I think Aaliyah wore similar glasses for a photoshoot or something. Anyway, the song is a 5. Avex still wasn't giving Kumi the good ****." Subomie: "Most of this song is only okay, but I do live for the drama of the chorus. Yas." 19 hours ago, Suilen said: 48. Hot Stuff (feat. Graves Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Eh, the vocals don't bother me much. Only time vocals on a j-pop song took me out of it was Namie's think of me, which... yeah. 1 3

Queen! 1

Oh, no, I meant my parents texted me asking where I was when I was sitting at home and then I rushed to get to their place ASAP just before the reveals started 2 hours ago, D.D.D. said: true but for me what set Kuu apart from the rest is her vocals with extra energy and charisma , even with the worst material and messy genre hopping - her delivery and dedication help carry the songs and make her albums consistent in a way I totally agree with this! Kuu's voice is amazing because it works so well in all these different genres and styles of music. It can kinda be like whiplash listening to an album that goes from hard rock to R&B to disco to some cutesy Disney song when you're not expecting it though lol 1 1
Suilen Posted August 11 Author Posted August 11 I definitely sent "Where the **** are you?" to a bunch of people spiritually. 3

Curaga: "May this summer brings you the happiest memory ever..." Kyle-x: "A cute summer bop! Her Britney cosplay on the single cover served." AMIT: "the text on the single cover is still a kii and the song remains one of her best" Subomie: "What the hell? I don't understand how this flopped? From the moment the song starts you're just blasted with positive energy and it just doesn't let up! Horns, drums, pure vibes… Theeeee summer anthem. Now come on now! Five minutes feels like nothing when this bop is on, and I'm already hitting repeat by the end." 1 1

I downloaded this single forever ago because it has real Emotion and 1000 Words remixes on it, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover COME WITH ME too! It's one of my favs by her.

Kyle-x: "They had a budget of $1 for the cover art and none leftover to shoot a video, but the song is quite lovely." AMIT: "cute standard j-pop ballad" Meloetta Carey: "I have to be in the mood for this one" Subomie: "I think I'm realizing that I don't really use her ballads all that much." 1

I started listening to Kuu like two years ago, through a playlist from Popjustice. It was mostly chronological and this was the first track that made me hit the like button and actually stan a bit. 1
