The way Teenage Dream era is still undercertified cause Last Friday Night is def already diamond and other singles like wide awake havent been certified in 6-7 years. and the fact dark horse could be the first double diamond female single ever... oh wow

Talent would mean that she was able to replicate it, or that she was somehow responsible for it but given that she once again is working with Dr. Luke after flopping for almost a decade now, it seems talent is nowhere to be found.  Teenage Dream is a great album though, Bonnie did that

biggest era in general made a typo. Michael Jackson's Thriller sold a total of 69.5M in the US and Teenage Dream beat it now that it's at 74.5M

Neither did Katy, but at least Bonnie penned #1 hits for other artists, which is more than I can say for some other shoe sellers

Bonnie did nothing. Her debut album? Flop. The EP? Flop. The collection of microwaved demos she just released? Flop. She was a flop before Katy Perry and she's a flop after. There were a few good years when she was writing for Katy and for various Dr Luke and Max Martin projects but it has been CRICKETS since. Well, except delusional TikToks that are so filtered you think you're looking at an extraterrestrial in a Bree Van de Kamp wig.

so we gonna keep getting teenage dream threads as she flops her way through another album... talk about being stuck in the past :tornado:

Especially cause hommie sold her catalogue whilst she was still somehow relevant, Bonnie McKee is set for life because of this whilst Katy goes back to Dr. Luke for hits.

You're not making a strong case babes, Katy Perry is a flop and quite the flop considering she went from a Diamond era to almost a decade of being irrelevant. She released a collection of good hits that for the most part, are faceless songs that could've been released by anyone, Proof of that is the lack of a solid and loyal fanbase and support from the GP. Your girl is voluntarily working with an alleged rapist for a hit. Zero morals

Having four soon to be five diamond singles from a diamond album is INSANE. Then you have Roar and DH on the follow-up which have been clocking Firewerk for highest certified female hit, plus IKAG and HNC which are racing each other to diamond status. Truly a pop titan.

Katy always has her second fan base frothing at the mouth and clutching at anything to 'drag' her. They frequent Katy threads more than their own alleged faves and Kats themselves. :alexz3:

Spotify: Most streamed female artists of 2023

GLOBAL

1. Taylor Swift

2. SZA

3. KAROL G

4. Lana Del Rey

5. Rihanna

i think she is doing perfectly fine, you need to worry about the Woman's Embarrassment upcoming Bubbling Under 100 chart position before you worry about THE Lana Del Rey, who breaks vinyl records, streaming records, critical acclaim, sold out stadiums, exceptional talent and a cool factor that the likes of Katy Perry can only dream of. but Katy has Teenage Dream right, i'll let her have that one since her fans have nothing else to hide behind.
