Støned Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Janet. 20 Y.O. and Discipline are still better than other pop girls' albums..
JoeAg Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Kate Bush, queen of quality over quantity like it's actually insane how none of her albums are below a 7.8, imo at least! like actually y'all think about it for a second and none of y'all better say anything mean about Lionheart or The Red Shoes because

Some cute bops here and there + english version of Passion (Sanctuary) which is better than careers but overall a very weak album O.T.: St. Vincent comes to mind Exodus is an experimental masterpiece, way ahead of its time. This Is the One had dated production but it's stacked with bops. I can't really defend Precious cause it only has a handful of good tracks. She was only like 12 though when she wrote it and it wasn't supposed to see the light of day. 1
Cooper Posted June 27 Posted June 27 (edited) Florence is pretty much the only one I can think of that has made for than 2-3 albums and I really like all of them. Adele, but she's on four. Lana I'd have as well, if we don't count whatever she released before Born to Die as I haven't heard it. If we extend to bands I can come up with Slowdive also, but then hardly any other. Luminary Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Tinashe Frank Ocean Santigold Lorde Janelle Monae Excluding debuts: Beyoncé Adele Lana
Homebrand Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Tinashe wins this by farrrrr Rihanna (her first 2 albums have lots of gems on them) Mariah too, I always found her albums are generally well crafted and all have their own unique identity.
Problematique Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Kelela tbh. Even her mixtape and her EP slap Portishead The xx Mitski Outkast (Idlewild arguably could redact this but still a great album) Radiohead SZA
