Being an opening act for Taylor is a great opportunity to boost your career so I'm glad that Sabrina doesn't waste it and truly focusing on her things  :clap3:

Success has a thousand parents and they are all important.

Unfortunately, being a good performer with catchy songs is not sufficient to become an A-list star.  Artists need something extra to break through and the Eras tour was that for Sabrina. It took years for Sabrina because she was missing that opportunity before.

Without eras, it would have been so much harder if not impossible for Sabrina to get an opportunity to show millions how great both her songs and live performances were. The pre-existing livestream culture of Eras really helped her. Her own skills and talent were what allowed to create a fandom and hype unlike the other opening acts.

But that's not taking anything away from Sabrina. Taylor broke through largely because she opened for every country act for two years. And she too credits that for breakthrough.

No one disagrees that the Eras Tour was good exposure, but it is not the main factor in why she's smashing (because Espresso and now PPP are smashing harder than any song on TTPD outside of its debut few days).

If the eras tour is why she's smashing then why are her songs doing better than the actual act? That wouldn't make sense.

Swifties feeling the need to go into EVERY thread and mention how big the eras tour made her is discrediting Sabrina and why it will keep being called out.

Honey anyone who are interested in pop culture expected this era will be an event. :skull: you missing it doesn't make us "ass lickers" or "success stans", stop embarrassing yourself

Because Fortnight is terrible, boring and not GP friendly, it was pushed to #1 by her massive cult-like fanbase.

If Taylor had released a listeneable pop song, she would not have struggled in the hot 100 this era.

TTPD the album is doing great even through it's single flopped. It's a monster streaming smash as an album. Cruel  Summer just continues to be Taylor's  current big Spotify song .

I am not trying to discredit Sabrina. Her songs being great is key to their success. And her being leverage the Eras Tour is a product of her hard work and skill.

I am just impressed how much she properly leveraged the Eras tour to actually get to the next level. It's a more interesting story than just pretending that just releasing a great song is the key to becoming a big pop artist.

Sabrina was able to popularize her persona on the Eras Tour . Right now she isn't just being treated like a single artist but with an artist with a fandom. And it was the eras tour that was key to that.

Like can we just stop pretend that Sabrina opening for the biggest tour of all time wasn't important to her new success even if this success is something she hustled and earned instead of just being granted.

You don't have too but Sabrina will.  Just like Taylor thanked the artists she opened for.

Becoming an A-list pop artist is all about levering opportunities.  Taking advantage of being an opener for a bigger act is one of the cliche way artists make it big.

It's been ages since a pop girl properly utilized that path so it's great to see Sabrina pull it off so well.

This song is lovely and deserves to smash. I love seeing ATRL and Stan Twitter lose.

The people yearn for eras with singles that aren't all the same BPM and sound :clap3:

Am I the only one who hasn't heard a hit yet? Maybe I need to play on repeat 5x? Either way, I'm here for the Sabrina Slayage. I'm surprised she didn't take off when she released Singular Act 2 but she was also with a Disney label and we know how that goes :rip:

Let's wait for Phoebe's next song/era then. The Swifties always think that the world revolves around their fave.
