Mrnoniee Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Megan is having a BOMB-astic Era She has released 3 singles (for now) with no album in sight Cobra - 2weeks on Hot100 Hiss - 6weeks on Hot100 Boa - 3weeks on Hot100* * might chart for another week All her singles have spent a total of 11 weeks on Hot100. What can she do to TURN things around can FINALLY get a hit? girl got MAD talent though, her artistry is PEAK but the GP is JUST not realizing iT.
ThomasTea Posted May 27 Posted May 27 (edited) She has got SO much talent and delivers visually every time. I just don't think she promotes herself very much outside of social media… Edited May 27 by ThomasTea

JO1s Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Your supposed fav just dropped an album and you're making your 5th stale thread about Megan. 7
ChrisTheLoner Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Not Sweetest Pie looking like a smash in comparison, who would've thought
Popular Post Dreajae Posted May 27 Popular Post Posted May 27 Worry about why yall can't get Ice Spice and Sexyy to chart after gassing them. Yall mad that Megan charted another top 40 hit while independent and dissing yalls internationally crimally jailed and charged faves? 1 15 1 2
Dialamba Posted May 27 Posted May 27 She's making pure rap song and has no radio support Only few female rappers can chart on BB and y'all expect her to pull MPG's numbers 2
Papi Juancho Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I mean, what was the last song by a rap girl (completely rap, not rap/POP) that spent more than 10 weeks on Billboard or at least did well on streaming? Even Nicki's album was just smoke and mirrors, viral on Tiktok but people were barely streaming the songs even with playlisting. Saddly, people aren't here for female rappers. 1 1
Papi Juancho Posted May 27 Posted May 27 People need to understand that the achievements of rap/urban girls can't be compared with the current MPGs. It's unfair, 99.99999% of them can't have their WAP moment. 1
professor2000 Posted May 27 Posted May 27 IMO, she should've signed to a major. I know she has Roc Nation + and indie label with major label distribution. But the promo is lacking. She needs: 1) promo, and 2) better hooks (better A&R). 2

I know "HISS" went #1, but it served no longevity. Megan's past singles used to be able to stick a bit longer. Also, I find it confusing how all the girls underperform on the charts, but have no problem filling arenas. Like…? Are fans only there for the social experience? Because they're not buying/streaming the music (at least not the new music). Same can be said for Doja and Nicki latest eras too. At least with Nicki, ppl are prob going to her shows b/c of the extensive catalog of hits. 2
concubine Posted May 27 Posted May 27 All her songs sound the exact same, just like Ice Spice, Nicki, and Sexxy, if she switches it up then she will find more interest, but she doesn't know how to. She tried with Cobra and ended up rapping "this pu**ci depressed" 1

Get It Sexyy peaked in the top 20 and is still charting in the top 40? Not to mention the song + her mixtape are both in the top 10 on Apple Music as we speak 😭 ot: The music has sucked post Tina Snow Edited May 27 by KKW 2
LegaMyth Posted May 27 Posted May 27 (edited) This isn't an excuse, but I've noticed that no female songs are sticking. Competition in pop and rap this year has just been absolutely insane. Edited May 27 by LegaMyth 1

Are you seriously hyping up Sexxy charting one top 20 solo after extensive cosigns from the industry, Drake and an AM Music executive? Yall are deluded. What music are yall supporting from Sexxy and other girls that matches the level of any of Megans last singles or projects? BFFR. I just watched yall let Ice Spice and JT flop. 4 2

BOA is the only one that can be judged, HISS and Cobra were released independently so there was no radio release, streaming push or whatever.
itshyolee Posted May 27 Posted May 27 (edited) Megan is a confusing case. It's like she's successful but at the same time doesn't get the support that she should be getting. HISS should still be charting right now. Edited May 27 by itshyolee 1
