It is starting to peak on radio though and is holding well on streaming so that explains the sales push ig i guess this answer the OP no sabotage to block billie

The Music Industry Posted May 18 Posted May 18 "It's not the same because she won't succeed!" being the go-to excuse is very telling 13 4
KingWitch Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Not even comparable, Ariana's song is no where close to being no. 1, yall need to get real sometimes
wantedyoutogrow Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I didn't know this thread was meant to be in response to #that situation, but I just wanted to let y'all know Ariana's CD's and vinyls don't ship until the next tracking week 2
hallucinate Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Just now, The Music Industry said: "It's not the same because she won't succeed!" being the go-to excuse is very telling why are you acting obtuse sis it's a different situation because: we don't even know where billie's single will peak WCBF was #14 on hot 100 this week, it's not even a huge threat 10

Got it 3 11 4
TayDuaStan Posted May 18 Posted May 18 (edited) This is absolutely shameless. A new low for Ariana. It's not even worth debating. She's just… a loser. Edited May 18 by TayDuaStan 6 10

jdanton2 Posted May 18 Posted May 18 alot of artists do it and i could be wrong but Billie might do it as well sometime or has in the past.
TayDuaStan Posted May 18 Posted May 18 After the 12+ remixes for "yes, and" including that Blessed Madonna remix, now this… Truly the McDonald's of music 8 8
JC. Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Definitely not the same as the other artist. Even HDD chimed in on it

Girl please sit tf down with these tired reaches. WCBF just hit #1 on US pop radio and has a chance to re-enter the top 10 of BB and that's what these are for. Your fave is already #1 on the 200 and she released more copies the same week billie has a chance to go #1. I doubt "lunch" is gonna have enough points to reach #1 anyways so please tell me how what Ariana is doing is remotely close to what Taylor did? 8 1 1
theboyismine Posted May 18 Posted May 18 (edited) Ariana released additional versions of her smash hit as a last push for the single, which isn't challening for the #1 spot on the Hot 100: in other words, it doesn't have a chance to actually block Billie (who released an ALBUM, not an individual single) from charting high on the singles chart. On the other hand, Taylor released multiple versions of her album (which is currently occupying the top spot) at the same time Billie released her album to try and rack up enough copies to take the top spot away from her, activitely sabotaging her. Aribiotch. Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I really entered this thread because I thought the OP was being satirical/funny but the fact that some of y'all actually believe this on par to what Taylor did 1 2

aesthetic bih Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Yeah, I'm starting to this is just one silly coincidence. Same with Taylor. No one was trying to sabotage Billie I mean, their merch releases are probably done in accordance to some predetermined schedule or contracts or something, so our faves can't do anything about it. But as expected, people (ATRL and Twitter especially) blew things out of proportion and run away with the narrative that Taylor is an insecure bully who is sabotaging other pop stars because it's the most shallow and most surefire to stir some drama I guess 4
UseYourIllusion2002 Posted May 18 Posted May 18 It's crazy to me how the Swifties literally come for every other female artist 6 1

How dare people promote their music/try to get #1s while another artist with a female anatomy is releasing that week? So mean-spirtied! NOT girls' girls! Is this post trans exclusionary 1

Why do you guys have these reservations for other artists, but don't give the same benefit of the doubt to Taylor? She's automatically a mean conniving girl to your eyes... If anything, it's probably Taylor's marketing team that has a control over her merch releases. I mean, Taylor is just one person and we all know she's busy with the tour. Forget jumping into conclusions, this is a prime example of peddling fake news. And Taylor can't even sue for defamation, because then people would now say she's being too sensitive smh 5
TayDuaStan Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Not her also posting this on Billie's release week. Ari's not a girls' girl it seems… 1 13 3

VERY nasty behavior from Ariana and Sabrina! This is Billie's week to shine! 55 minutes ago, Diesel is Desire said: Hopefully as many as the Taylor thread with 31 pages. Hopefully the OTH keep the same energy for others! The Swifties pretending to be obtuse just to protect their fave with the lamest arguments Taylor has tried to block multiple women and now she's releasing the 22nd, 23rd and 24th editions of her album that was already curated as double album to manipulate the charts (Morgan Wallen's impact) just to block a new female artist. It's gross and a total violation of the "feminism" she used to promote and sell 1989. 47 minutes ago, wantedyoutogrow said: I didn't know this thread was meant to be in response to #that situation, but I just wanted to let y'all know Ariana's CD's and vinyls don't ship until the next tracking week The Swifties are desperate because they have this weird need for Taylor to be the victim and to pretend everyone else is the problem but her. The biggest kii is that nobody is dragging Taylor for releasing physical singles and they're trying to act like Ariana doing a standard practice is the same as releasing three new digital-only editions to block an act from the next generation. The Weeknd got dragged when he sold digital "signed" copies and Taylor (and her fans) deserve to get dragged for this toxic behavior. 6 1 5
