One song / skip that stops an album from being a 10/10 masterpiece.

Probably super unpopular opinion, but on Beyoncé's 4 album, I love the entire thing, except Girls (Run the World). Otherwise for me it is a perfect album. Sometimes I can vibe to it, but I usually skip it instantly.

I loooove Stars Dance album, but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be very popular compared to her other work. That and her work with The Scene is the stuff I like. I wasn't into her releases after.

Little Star (ROL)

Push (COADF)

I still consider these albums masterpieces but these songs are not it

I think The Tortured Poet's Department is incredible but I can't stand "My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys." Clunky, silly song.

Toy soldier on blackout is just noise. Worst track on the album. Use to also hate heaven on earth but it's grown on me lately so I'm indifferent to it

Push from Confessions on a Dance Floor. Should have been replaced with History.

Relistened to Dirty Computer in full today and what a perfect 10/10 album… except for that horrid Pharrell collab "I Got The Juice".

In that same spirit, what are some other albums that are 9.5/10s masterpieces bordering on a 10/10 without that one bad song.

FAIR!

omg I Got the Juice is very blatantly the worst song on that album :mazen:

tbh they never quite reached the heights of The Archandroid and The Electric Lady again. but Dirty Computer WAS really great still

lowkey Don't Waste Your Time on My December, but it's grown on me a bit at least

I'm trying to think of other examples of albums that are easily typically considered masterpieces that have one track that bothers me... I know My December is a confusing one for non-pop fans lol

wtf these takes :biblionny: I love I Got the Juice, Plastic Off the Sofa, Church Girl, Porsche, Little Star...

Anyway, here's mine :gaycat5:

"Make the Bus" from 'The ArchAndroid' (speaking of Janelle Monàe...)

"Yoü and I" from 'Born This Way' Even the bonus tracks (disc 1) are perfect,  but I've always hated this random rock tune amidst the electropop.

"Trust Me" from 'Ten Love Songs' Kinda sounds like a boring church hymn to me, but omg this song was incredible live

"Shame for You" from 'Alright, Still'

"Dirty Knife" from 'Fox Confessor Brings the Flood'

Some posts are so delusional. :biblionny:

Anyway, that Boys Will Be Boys song from FN. It's good but totally not necessary.

Renaissance improves exponentially if you delete Church Girl and Plastic.
