Controversial perhaps .. these were not the soundtrack to my childhood, (they probably were for someone). I hated each of these when they were new and individually they separately made me embrace alt rock a little more as the antidote each time. it's just so goddamn bad. the production, Alicia's strained vocals, the annoying ass chorus and bridge... my god. Alicia has PLENTY of gorgeous songs (she is a fantastic writer when she really hones in on her craft!!) that deserved its success, and yet it got all the attention for some reason

I still remember when this came on during my grade 8 graduation dance and everyone started booing so Dj changed the song mid chorus. It was the only song that this happened to.
