I don't use X or interact with people like that as in being deep into fandom/stan discourse. And online component does make it a bit difficult to differentiate. Not everyone is used to the same way of discourse. Besides, I wouldn't put this way of thinking past of some people at all and I also clearly meant it in good faith. Hopefully, sarcasm it is. Aethereal Posted May 6 Posted May 6 (edited) Let's hope this one will at least make her and her team work really hard for the next album. Edited May 7 by Aethereal 1

gardendreams Posted May 7 Posted May 7 A lot of people on here are talking about how Dua's low streams are because of small fanbase. I'm just curious what Dua should have done differently to get one?

I'm just curious what Dua should have done differently to get one? There's a really good explanation on reddit about this. The post basically expounds on her distance from the fans and keeping it professional at all times. Her songs aren't related to her life, she develops albums with a theme and not necessarily personal experiences so there's really no connection between her and the music thereby no relatability factor amongst fans. I forgot the term they used and/or the specific thread since I just passed through it. 4
Popular Post Kern Posted May 7 Popular Post Posted May 7 I haven't slept in 3 days. the hate train among critics and stan twitter has consumed every fiber of my being… the numbers have made it even worse. I cannot do anything… I can't go anywhere, can't have a normal conversation right now. 17
LCTV Posted May 7 Posted May 7 At this point ATRL is about 0.10% of her album streams we did it gurlies. 3

Unapologetic was her first #1 album, after 6 other albums, and the units were also subpar. Anti is her only release in the streaming era so I can't make a direct comparison but I remember its Spotify debut wasn't all that either. She's just always had insane longevity FN being Dua's Good Girl Gone Bad and RO being her RR still makes sense for the most part. Oh, give it a rest. Even if Rihanna's debuts weren't massive in the U.S, they certainly were abroad and even moreso in her biggest market - Europe. Rihanna has never bombed like this in U.K./Europe. Also, her units were never "subpar" so I don't know what you're talking about either. Also, RO is nothing like RR when RR had Rude Boy which was a global smash. Dua is nothing like Rihanna; sonically, artistically or even commercially. 7
