She doesn't measure up to Taylor in any way or form and not in songwriting that's for sure. You've a lot to say about song writing and streams. Should we add Britney to the convo? she must be excelling at both? 6

KatyPrismSpirit Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Even if it doesn't become a hit with longevity it still does crazy numbers.

I do think it would've performed better had she released it before the album tho, people are still processing the 31 songs instead of focusing on one 1
shimind Posted May 6 Posted May 6 She needs to hire Max Martin again and drop another reputation next year. This white vanilla music aint cutting it.
Mr. Duff Posted May 6 Posted May 6 It's doing great. It's not on Anti-Hero's level of smash but I think that's a great thing so it cannot cannibalize the other potential singles and hopefully get further #1s from this album. I Can Do It With a Broken Heart has massive potential. Down bad and Guilty as Sin too. But actually thinking about it, it's doing on par with Anti-Hero's streams, it's just that the competition is so strong this time around with Kendrick, Drake, the viral Shaboozey and Milion Dollar baby song, Espresso. Hozier, Teddy and Benson still doing great, even Saturn, WCBF and Texas Hold'Em are also doing great. I love how competitive the charts are right now. So many great songs to listen to and enjoy. 2
Gossip_Boy Posted May 6 Posted May 6 It's doing fine given how huge the album is. Tbf I don't think singles is the focus this era hence why they didn't drop any prior to the album release. The album is consumed massively, everything else is probably just a bonus.
YellowRibbon Posted May 6 Posted May 6 It's still washing most if not all of the lead singles by other artists so who cares??? Plus it's actually still getting like +6.5M daily which is around the same numbers Anti-Hero was pulling (while still being ahead of Anti-Hero on its overall number of streams because its first few days were bigger)
Don Posted May 6 Posted May 6 It's one of the most boring songs on the whole album to me… I don't understand why she picked this one as lead
ImpressMeMuch Posted May 6 Posted May 6 This thread is such a reach lmao, "UPDATE: Predicted to leave top 3" 4

LegaMyth Posted May 6 Posted May 6 The competition is crazy right now. People are mainly talking about the rap beefs.
PoisonPill Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Fortnight's reign at #1 only lasting a fortnight is iconic. Her mind
