RIHANNA for aaalll! She probably has the most impressive chart run for #1s out of aalll the Pop Girls other than Mariah and MAYBE Bey (she has #1s in like 4 decades and some were #1 for weeksss).
 

But yeah, you just can't beat Rih's #1 status. Cause a lot of them were huge af overseas too and are very timeless.

I forgot to thank her for Mother Mary, that's another exceptional album track.  

 

S&M is a great pop song but that's kind of where it ends. I don't stan Taylor for her pop music I stan her for her musical compositions. Enchanted, Last Kiss, State of Grace, All Too Well, Safe & Sound.. those are the kinds of songs I don't think Rih could ever really compose. I'd be glad to be proven wrong with R9 though 

 

You're right those singles are part of Taylor's catalogue, but it's well known that her singles are the worst parts of her album (especially in the 2010s). Whereas with Rihanna, her singles are pretty much the -best- she has to offer, so you go check out the album and you're left a little disappointed, as a casual listener. It's why she never really excelled in album sales when compared to her massive single success.
