CampfireSmoke Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Her version of Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd There's a lot of material for her to tap into when she talks about her family, especially in relation to her fame and mental health. She briefly talks about it in But Daddy I Love Him but not that much

I think he knows the sound that works for Taylor Swift. "Me!," "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince," "Only the Young," "You Need to Calm Down" sound great, but Taylor couldn't help herself with the performative activism and the Kidz Boppery so we got cringefests instead. These are some of her worst produced songs in my opinion They all sound cheap, tinny, and trendy (but late to the trends they're chasing). He also completely strips her voice of character. I hope she never works with him again! 1

Lady Claire Posted April 26 Posted April 26 (edited) Literally ANYTHING but that tuneless snoozefest mess with no melodies by Hack AntonOFF. Taylor still is a good songwriter but everything became so boring and lifeless with that Lana cosplay she's been doing, and Jack is not doing any favors. Aaron was good on Folklore but it's time to move on. TTPD could've been a great album if it was only 10 tracks and if it had innovative production. She can try rock, dance, coming back to country, literally anything else but this boring mess. I think this is how everyone else outside her base is thinking of, including music critics for a reason. Lady Claire Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Also i think she would be great with Greg Kurstin. He's a pretty talented producer and did multiple hits from emotional ballads to synth-pop jams. All with incredible melodies. His production with Taylor lyrics would be a perfect match.
Virgos Groove Posted April 26 Posted April 26 I know Swifties read the word "electronic" and immediately wince, but I feel like Taylor could pull off some downtempo electronica if she got the right producer. 2
Dante Silva Posted April 26 Posted April 26 After hearing TTPD I assembled a list of nine producers that really should be on her radar but nobody is paying me a million bucks to co-ordinate her rescue so it will be interesting to see how many of those she arrives at on her own. 1

Devin Posted April 26 Posted April 26 not that i will be checking for her. but she should challenge herself vocally or be more of a risktaker since she played it safe so many albums.
Dante Silva Posted April 26 Posted April 26 (edited) I think she needs to come back with a new album and the first single should be something similar to this (from Electra Heart's mother) to let people know she not only has the sass to pull it off, but has also changed up her game and reinvented. Johnny Jacobs Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Some flavor. Enough with the same vanilla sound. (Unless she'll give us another willow )
Noodles Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Do whatever genre that is State Of Grace and Holy Ground, but be more adventurous about it at the same time.

She should take note from herself about how simple State Of Grace's lyrics are but how they are able to say so much more than that entire album.
Raphy23 Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Power Pop/Garage Rock (with a bit of Stomp & Holler mixed in).

Blue. Posted April 26 Posted April 26 (edited) It is funny that the OTH cry about Antonoff and say they need to part ways, yet when you look at the songs blowing up with the GP in social media - Fortnight, Down Bad, Guilty As Sin, Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me?, I Can Do It With A Broken Heart - are all his productions. There is a reason you are not being asked. "For the non-swifties - what would you want for Taylor Swift's 12th studio album?"
AvadaKedavra Posted April 26 Posted April 26 (edited) Its definitely the time for a dancier and happier record. Less corny than lover. More like 1989 but with a disco facade-wrapping I would also love a diverse album from taylor. Havin everything. Pop Punk-Electropop-Synthpop-PC Music-Urban Tracks-Country-World Music I think that would be very interesting. Another album like Red Or i would be here for something very futuristic and avant-garde Edited April 26 by AvadaKedavra
