Raspberries Posted April 25 Posted April 25 This will really be the most-streamed female album of 2024 (no, Shakira's playlist doesn't count) by its second week

If her store hasn't reported their numbers yet and a miracle happens and she passes Adele(she won't), that's it it's over. UMG records will look like January 6th on capital hill Friday. 15
Mr. Duff Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I'm honestly surprised it's still above 100M after a gigantic debut. The hold is amazing. I think the hold % is better for Midnights because it had more promo during the week and a music video was released for Bejeweled. This is insane, I wonder if it can hold 100M for the full week?
Nova_23 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 when it stabilizes above 100M remember when an artist having 100M streams total in a single day was a gag and Taylor just does it for a single album

shookspeare Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I'm not sure what it is but the album has insane replay value, I already have 500 streams for it on my last.fm. far from my fave taylor album but I just keep listening for some reason and apparently everyone else is too. her power

Storm653 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 You know what's funny? For all the talk about Taylor's numbers being fanbase driven or frontloaded like BTS, I noticed that this album is resonating with non-Swifties more than many of her albums including Midnights. I've actually seen that first hand irl once this album came out. I had some friends who didn't listen to Taylor much or even pop music who were talking to me about this album and how much they enjoyed it. The divisive discourse around TTPD seems to mostly be an online phenomenon driven by stan culture(on either side) and critics trying to cash in on it. This album isn't divisive to the GP from what I've personally seen which might explain the numbers. 8
ctlp27 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Genuily curious, how do you explain the rebound mid-week (considering the subsequent drop)? 1

The album is stabilizing and isn't dropping as quickly. Of course it was going to have big drops the 1st couple days with record breaking numbers. Seems pretty normal to me.
UnusualBoy Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Not the album still pulling 100 million daily I'm glad I've contributed the whole week to this

Music always increases on Mondays. New music (almost) always increases more on Mondays. People are buys with other stuff on the weekend. A lot of music gets listened to on commutes to work. Monday used to be the day new music was released, so a lot of people still check new music then. The friday biggest day, saturday pretty big drop, sunday a bit smaller drop, monday increase and then smaller and smaller drops after that is the standard for new albums (by big names) 15 1
Meev Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Can someone make a thread for ARIA charts in Australia? TTPD has the top 10 songs on the ARIA charts, the first time in ARIA history.
