Oh dear!

Cowboy Carter not only broke streaming records but has also had a massive impact on music, country music, business, fashion and culture… What is more incredible is the fact she is bringing her people with her by helping the increase of streams etc for lessor known country artists. All within "a month".

Listen to Cowboy Carter gurl. If you have already and don't like it. Sorry

I heard the entire album on its release day and had to turn it off after Track 15 or so. It's so d*mn mid for a Beyonce record. I loved Renaissance (and thought it deserved AOTY), I loved Lemonade (and thought it deserved AOTY), but this one is a no from me (and it seems like the general public agrees with me on this one). I have yet to see the impact of this record outside Twitter though, maybe the album isn't aimed at the demographic I belong to.

About the boost that some country artists perceived, I have yet to see or hear one of them really breaking through. It's almost an anecdote.

Your unhinged, uncultured take is exactly the problem with TSwift's fanbase right now: no ability to look outwards. The hive / unpaid music critics / music lovers / music educators / music historians / music connoisseurs love Cowboy Carter, and they most importantly love the time, intention, and effort put in. Once B started her own company in 2011, she has consistently made an effort to create/curate cultural relics. TTPD comes across as disingenuous in comparison.

Rushing to CTRL C + CTRL V a bunch of Jack productions from Taylor albums of old to shake a few more coins from couches is perfect music fodder for people untethered to any cultural or historical substance who only weigh Taylor's music based on her past work. From that standpoint, TTPD is a great album (to them) because she literally used old songs critics loved and put new lyrics to them. That is where the dissonance between fan and casual listener comes in. Look at the material:

The fact (unpaid) reviews aren't going her way (and she couldn't pass Adele with all of her deals - the big kahunas being more than 10 album variants available, and payment to 860 radio stations to play your entire album for a WEEK) must be disappointing. Sales truly aren't everything when the heart behind the music is absent. :sorry:

All of that and I still dgaf, I'm not someone that exclusively listens to certain music just because a random khia on the internet ,claiming to be a music specialist (which doesn't make any sense to me as a job because all humans hear things differently and perceive them differently), said that one album is good or not. I have my two functioning ears to decide if something sounds right to me or doesn't.

And about that Adele record, not even Adele herself could sell even half of what 25 did with 30, why should Taylor be expected to top that record when the amount of versions that she sold for this album are not remotely close to the amount that other popstars are selling for theirs?.

What's the score?

76 in 2024 is a terrible score. She really is on her artistic decline.

So... Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist huh

You base musical impact on commercial success.  You have no place in musical discussions.  You think a mediocre dear diary ass bleating goat is the pinnacle of artistry.

Stay in your Torey lanez.

Don't be delusional and expect people to like or dislike the same things that you & other bitter members in this forum dislike. :coffee:

The fact that 76 used to be a really good score for pop artists before 2017.

But now even Camilla Cabello's albums get scores like that these days (Famila has a 76 score :dies: )
