She needs fresh production, this album is uninspired and her trying to be so mystical is with her lyrics is coming off as "try hard" and cringe.

The people in here not picking up on this being a satire of their own threads :deadbanana4:

False. This album is her worst received album since Lover. She's in danger. I expect the biggest second week drop for an album in history I fear

Are you talking about Miss Peep?

Oh how we've missed you Love Again

Fans of artists that sell 200k albums first week telling the woman that sells 2M what she has to do with her sound, lmao. Have fun pushing this narrative, last time I heard this she got the biggest debut of Spotify's history and her 4th AOTY

Okay, but isn't selling 200k of anything as a person like, really good still? I don't think either of us have done that

So Taylor should just never evolve as an artist anymore?

It is very good for today's standards, yes. But if there is another one selling 10x that maybe she doesn't need artistic advices, specially coming from people that are not fans.

Taylor released an awful lead single in 2019, it was received as such, and she changed her sound and actually acts as if it never existed. That is panning something and she learning from that. Having a bunch of haters or non-fans saying an album is boring is absolutely irrelevant when the real feedback is 185M streams first day, a full year in the Top 10 and AOTY.

Numbers and sales are the indicative of what people like, they don't come from thin air. I know some of you are allergic to objective metrics but reality moves with that.

Good. We need to thin the herd. Too many obnoxious new "fans" over the last few years.

I haven't listened but everything I've seen written suggests it's a worse version of Midnights

It sounds nothing like Midnights after track 5 (So Long, London) and that's absolutely intentional.

Besides this clearly being a troll thread, no one could say Swifties have "universally panned it" since most of them on my tl have outright refused to engage with leaks. They're the ones who need to like it, not the people who never liked her music to begin with.

This album is a triumph. Just brilliant from start to finish. Can't wait to hear the rest of the bonus tracks :jonny:

we are discussing artistry but seeing as you stan for the marvel of pop music, factory designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator, it makes sense that you'd stutter and lisp 'but- but- SALES!' when asked to think critically about her music.

Alright, let's discuss artistry. Taylor Swift's music is the best out there. Where do we go from here? Do we exchange our personal opinions until one of us dies?
