Like I said, there are a few songs which are interesting and show her personality, but if you remove those songs it feels like a lot of Antonoff 1989 TV vault tracks IMO. Midnights was also not my favourite album but was at least quite sonically diverse. The last album I really loved was folklore, so I guess I just feel a bit let down by this album.

I apologize if I came off strong, you received misdirected frustration with a sentiment I strongly disagree with, and I'm sorry if anything I said was hurtful, blunt, rude, or disrespectful.   I personally pick up on lots of differences between TTPD and her past few releases, but I can't make others hear what I hear and I'm sorry if it seemed like I was trying to. Agree to disagree and coexist peacefully

I think I have the weirdest taste when it comes to music I like. For example in Midnights I liked Labyrinth the most out of any track from that album, but I know almost nobody used it or liked it

Yeah it's very akin to their second album. I think some people just don't listen to much music outside of pop sometimes  So they have less references.
