Taylor fanboy Posted April 18 Posted April 18 My Boy truthers, I'm afraid this is not single worthy, she got very lucky with Anti-Hero. But I doubted Anti-Hero, so maybe I just don't have ear for hits.

"This song sounds exactly like another song of hers" "ok, which one?" "I don't know" Thats how some of yall sound Like, nothing in her catalogue to date sounds like WAOLOM, Guilty as Sin, Florida, TTPD, BDILH… etc.
Hobbes Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Just now, wastedpotential said: So... it reminds you of another song, but you can't name what song that is? And because of that, you've decided it's a snooze? The two points can co-exist, actually. It's a boring song and it sounds like stuff I've heard from her before. Like most of the album to be honest. 1

Give me a minute?

Rence Posted April 18 Posted April 18 And you deserve prison, but you won't get time oh whack him again for me, Taylor
shookspeare Posted April 18 Posted April 18 if anyone is actually interested in a little analysis of why the album sounds same-y to some people, for me it's because 7 of these tracks are in C major/A-minor (so same key signature) and they're pretty much all midtempos with that plodding Jack production. Midnights had a similar issue but the melodies were more memorable for me on that album tbh. I'm still buying the vinyl to support my fave but miss Swift might benefit from taking some music theory classes or something because she needs to switch up her compositions a little bit 2
nasa Posted April 18 Posted April 18 had a second listen, "who's afraid of little old me" honey I'm SO sorry about all the sh*t I said about you earlier today! massive art: But Daddy I Love Him Florida!!! So Long, London The Tortured Poets Department The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived might grow and not boring I Can Do It With a Broken Heart Guilty as Sin? Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? No, like I said, she has plenty of unique songs on this album. Yall just don't like Taylor, let's call a spade a spade. No need to try to push a false narrative! If you don't like her or her music no one is forcing you to. This album is pretty unique and explores new sonic territory for her in a majority of the songs. 2

PoisonedIvy Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Like how am I supposed to believe you think this album "blends into each other" when there is a vast difference between loml, I Can Fix Him, But Daddy I Love Him, Florida, I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.. the album is cohesive but it does not blend together at all if you take even a moment to distinguish the songs 1
