They only count the 16 most streamed songs, other songs are simply ignored :rip: I mean, not only this is stupid but they also ignore the fact more songs = lower average of streams

When you thought the UK charts could not get more inaccurate. :rip:

Much of The Anthology is like if she took the worst song on evermore (Dorothea) and remade it a bunch of times, but this time it actually being good.

For me makes sense. If this started from this week she's unlucky but in general from here to on It's right to make a rule like this.

Maybe should have made like 18-19, 16 now is short for the 90% of the released album but i agree with the concept.

Billboard should make the same. That country album really didn't deserved to surpass the weeks at #1 of 21 only because of 380 tracks. And 90% of americans doesn't know Who he Is.

You need taste. Closure is one of the best from evermore.

These songs are part of the album, period, there is no reason to arbitrary exclude people consuming some songs because you personally think 31 songs is too much for an album. Once again, the more songs you have, the less people will stream the 16 songs you decide to count.

I am not a fan of Morgan Wallen but it's obvious he is really popular in the US so you are reaching.

I have it on good authority that she's releasing a triple album called TTPD: The Anthology (Kern Edition) :ryan3:

Closure is better than 80% of TTPD, but it's also one of her best songs, so I could say that on every album comparison.

it's popular but if you think that album has the culture impact of previous albums holded the same record as Thriller, Purple Rain, the bodyguard and 21 the  you're the one reaching :suburban:

There are rules like these already in almost every chart in the world by the way.

Now 95% of the markets is streaming everywhere how albums with 10 tracks can compete with albums with 30 tracks?. It's really common sense to make charts really effective (so with a paritary competition for everyone, as it was when a copy was a copy for everyone).

No there aren't, only the UK and Australia among major markets. It's a loss of MILLIONS of streams that aren't converted into units for anything. It's scandalous. If an artist decides to release a long album, they also take the risk to discourage some people. Chris Brown released an album of 42 songs and no one cared. It's stupid to make this shortcut.

Also, a short album is easier to stream as it's playable on loop (which fans do anyway). Blame songs' length that makes things unfair if you want to talk about « fair competition », not the amount of songs.

I'm obsessed with Fortnight  This might be her first album where the lead single is also the best song from the album, at least for me :clap3:

Cardigan was great too, still haven't connected with Anti-Hero

Were you sent by someone who wanted me dead?
Did you sleep with a gun underneath our bed?
Were you writin' a book? Were you a sleeper cell spy?
In fifty years, will all this be declassified?
And you'll confess why you did it and I'll say, "Good riddance"
'Cause it wasn't sexy once it wasn't forbidden
I would've died for your sins, instead, I just died inside
And you deserve prison, but you won't get time
You'll slide into inboxes and slip through the bars
You crashed my party and your rental car
You said normal girls were boring
But you were gone by the morning
You kicked out the stage lights, but you're still performing

She needed another Dear John and came with this BRIDGE

The closure slander in here has got to stop!

It's been a long time

And seeing the shape of your name
Still spells out pain
It wasn't right
The way it all went down
Looks like you know that now

Yes, I got your letter
Yes, I'm doing better
It cut deep to know ya
Right to the bone
Yes, I got your letter
Yes, I'm doing better
I know that it's over
I don't need your closure
Your closure

Don't treat me like some situation that needs to be handled
I'm fine with my spite
And my tears
And my beers and my candles
I can feel you smoothing me over

Yes, I got your letter
Yes, I'm doing better
It cut deep to know ya
Right to the bone
Yes, I got your letter
Yes, I'm doing better
I know that it's over
I don't need your closure
Your closure
Your closure
Your closure

I know I'm just a
Wrinkle in your new life
Staying friends
Would iron it out so nice
Guilty, guilty reaching out across the sea
That you put between you and me
But it's fake
And it's oh so unnecessary

Yes, I got your letter
Yes, I'm doing better
It cut deep to know ya
Right to the bone
Yes, I got your letter
Yes, I'm doing better
I know that it's over
I don't need your closure, closure
Your closure
Your closure

A CLASSIC
