Garchomp is aggressive, Purugly is rather aggressive; neither are (or would make sense to be) Dark-types. because it learns Crunch? Luxray also learns Crunch and isn't a Dark-type (and this goes for like a dozen other examples). because it's the ''ogre'' scorpion pokemon and thus like a big bad scorpion? you know what scorpions are also? bugs. but Drapion isn't a bug anymore apparently, but it is still a scorpion. it's literally as if Ariados lost its Bug typing for Dark upon evolving. someone please make it make sense. Bug/Poison was surprisingly fine as is for a Pokemon such as Drapion, and we could have used one other half-decent Bug-type this Gen (especially since we already had another Dark/Poison line!). hell if they wanted to mess around with it like this then make it a Poison/Dragon already. it would be a bigger gag and the name is basically already that anyway. Skorupi is the only Bug-type Pokemon to actually lose the Bug typing upon evolving (only to, again, remain a scorpion) and for what? I don't hate Drapion, the design itself is mostly fine, just feel like it was a big missed opportunity and an utter failure in execution. the original Mega Gyarados, but even worse, I fear."
