Billie releasing 9 vinyl variants after environmental claim

Recommended Posts

It's hilarious how the insufferable Swifties are SO triggered by her comment that they're purposely pushing aside common sense to hate on her because their fave is a capitalist money hungry scammer who has exclusive songs on variants to force hardcore fans to want to buy more than one variant.

Funniest part is she didn't name any specific artist but Swifties are well aware Taylor's sales are heavily inflated by her cheap sales tactics that they get defensive when they're even potentially criticized :bibliahh:

Ariana with her like 8 variants, Billie now with 9. :ryan3:

And yet Taylor with only 4. Who's desperate now?

:ryan3:

The 4 variants having exclusive tracks was the criticism not just having variants. So no gotcha moment, just you looking dumb which must happen often as a Swiftie :rip:

The people in here grasping at straws to try to defend this.

It's the fact she said pop girls do this to inflate numbers, yet does the same exact thing. You'd think she'd only release only or two vinyl variants but ended up with 9. She should've just stayed quiet especially when the majority of her pure sales are from vinyls.

Eilish went on, "And I find it really frustrating as somebody who really goes out of my way to be sustainable and do the best that I can and try to involve everybody in my team in being sustainable — and then it's some of the biggest artists in the world making f*cking 40 different vinyl packages that have a different unique thing just to get you to keep buying more. It's so wasteful, and it's irritating to me that we're still at a point where you care that much about your numbers and you care that much about making money — and it's all your favorite artists doing that sh*t.”

We all know these moves are made by the labels in charged of promotion. Billie isn't personally supervising eveything, but still lol

When Coldplay did this, you had no idea which color you were going to get and everyone got something unique. Billie is half-assing this by making people pick which variant they want.

And i don't get how people claim it as "variants" when it has the exact same cover, tracklist and inclusion, the only difference is the vinyl colour. Nobody is buying all 9 versions just to have different disc colours :rip: This is totally different from Ms Midnights who released 4 different covers that u need to buy all 4 to make a complete clock

1989 (TV) sold over 1M and didnt have any exclusive tracks, didnt build a clock like Midnights etc.. so what now
But obviously not like it matters if there are exclusive tracks on every variant because the songs will literally get uploaded for free on the day everyone receives their vinyls and they'll eventually get official releases on streaming services

Nobody is forced to buy anything

The main point is that Billie said artists sell multiple variants because they are chart/money hungry.. so why did she release 9 variants? for that purpose? :rip:

Because she admitted that included her which is why she's making them eco-friendly and sustainable.

It's like yall don't read.

So them being eco-friendly means they dont count for the charts? interesting
one of her points, besides being eco-friendly, was artists releasing those variants for charting/money purposes
so i ask again why did she release 9 (eco-friendly:rip:) variants? Why wasnt it just one single eco-friendly version?

You must have missed where she admitted to doing the same. Luckily, I already mentioned that, but it seemed as though you choose to ignore that!!

You're not getting that gotcha moment boo!

All the main pop girls we stan are greedy capitalists who sell multiple variants of their albums. It's the fact that she acts like an environmentalist and claims that her vinyls are "eco-friendly" (even though the process to produce and ship them is not sustainable) makes her a huge hypocrite.

Either fully commit to the cause or shut up about it. Her previous statement screams "but I'm an ethical capitalist :fan:" and y'all are being obtuse trying to find ways to defend her.

Her variants being eco-friendly somehow means she doesn't care about charts & sales? Do they count as half a sale or sth? :rip:
