Beyoncé and Rihanna know how to serve sexy without being vulgar or trashy

Rihanna knows how to serve multi-million makeup companies but that's about as much serving as we're getting from her.

The songs are mid to be honest. They're like Scarlet leftovers :rip:

Because somehow no one cares about her "I'm the number one *****” delulu and she's not a good rapper… scarlet was flop and she was only popular when she released pop. At least I think so, maybe it was just TikTok. Not to mention her disgusting behavior and comments.

There are two factors at play here, the first one being as this is a global chart, Doja needs to reinforce attributes in her music that appeal to a global audience (not just a U.S. one).

In the same way "Starships" was the perfect marriage of melody and rap for Nicki, "Say So" was for Doja. She needs to bring back/ maintain catchy chorus hooks in her songs so her music is a blend of rap/ singing (not just rap alone). This will re-engage the collective ear of a wider demographic.

The second factor is, in the same way people once had a negative response to Katy chopping her hair off, they have also had the same response to Doja doing the same and they want a softer, more feminine less "Punk" aesthetic from her.  Its all about maintaining subversive lyrics, all the while sugaring the pill.

Because it's so damn corny, tired as hell, and the music sounds mid

The beats are boring and all sound the same

Sick and tired of these female rappers constantly shoving their damn butts in our faces and rapping about their private parts

This whole bad b*tch persona is so dated now.

It's all the same garbage! Like, seriously, could they be any more unoriginal?

Everything's been done to death already. Boring as f#@*!"

Preach!! Female rap has become so oversexualised it's almost comical

I hate to be one of those 'old music is better' people but all rap music nowadays is so boring, the lyrical content is wack and it all sounds the same (especially that damn trap beat). What happened to the producers who made catchy and creative hip hop/R&B music?

Releasing a deluxe version of a flop album ain't it. We want a new album.

This, it's not that hard to figure out why.

None of the new songs screamed single to me after listening (except masc  maybe, and that was the only song that really clicked for me) but Doja has never really smashed right out of the gate except for maybe Kiss Me More? Like even PTTR kind of flopped initially and then started smashing weeks later. Might be too soon to tell but with a deluxe she doesn't really need to have a whole new single start smashing; just keep Scarlett afloat and let Agora Hills keep doing its thing

yeah she isn't a debut girlie, but with the TTH cover it's bad :rip:

We need eclectic and fun Doja back.

I mean she lowkey is still there on Scarlet in some songs, but the theme/concept of this era didn't really work.

Time to redefine "Pop" mama, instead of running away from it.

Spoiler

SoundCloud Doja can still make appearances from time to time though…b/c she still serves quality at times.  Deluxe was a great step in the right direction in merging the two though.  She unfortunately just lost some momentum with the abrupt switch up.

these are deluxe tracks from an album that scored 2 top 10 hits, one of them being #1 for several weeks :foxaylove2:

it's crazy how she always gets TTH for every song she drops

Attention, Demons, PTTR and Agora Hills all had top 3 TTH when they dropped. pass the payola crown dua:crown:

To be fair though, most of her songs that get TTH are hits though.

I think Demons was Top 10, but quickly moved down.  So it's not like it was perched like Duas singles.

PTTR was most certainly not Top 3 either, it was much lower b/c I remember thinking it was the result of "Attention" flopping on TTH. Top 20/10?

Watch her lead from DC5 not get the same treatment.  Thats the sad part about this deluxe underperforming. :noparty:

DC5 needs to be like "So High" give us that global sitar infused pop music. It's literally the sound that is made for her. to this day i still feel like that was her most authentic song. this hiphop music just aint for her. the pengame and bars just dont hit like nicki, megan, and literally even cardi to an extend.

The edition is much better than the shitshow OG Scarlet was but it's still bad lol. Like.. compared to the rest of her discography…

She needs to drop the hard rap act and go back to what she does best - pop

I mean the original album is terrible, and I'm sure this is equally bad.

She had two good songs on the OG, and both were successful singles
